    Over-glorification of violence.
I feel like the writers just let the bad ones go.
I like the sub-plots but you should pay for your crimes, sooner or later.

    Well... this was bloody awful.
A rehash of T2 at best. A mediocre copy in truth.
Mad respect for Linda Hamilton to be going through such efforts at her age.

Call me racist, but the world doesn't need a Mexican T-1000.

    The Lighthouse

    Uncomfortable film.
Watch this if you're into Moby Dick, Lovecraft and Basic Instinct.
    It's pretty basic

    Brilliant.
    Superb.
    Flawless.

From the soldier's kit to the bombed hellhole landscape, this is a truly immersive experience.

    Phoenix

Ray Liotta plays a convincing gambler/cop in a truly confusing situation inside a movie riddled with cliches.
    Other than that?
    Nothing worth mentioning.

Oh, except the 'why did they build a door inside the walls meant to keep out King Kong?' thing.

A Million Ways to die in the West

Surprisingly well written & well acted.
That Seth MacFarlane sure is a lucky sod for kissing Charlize Theron.
Although there's something creepy about her.
Like her eyes when she laughs.
Or them eyebrows that just won't move.

    Anyway, decent film.

    The Purge: Election Year

My favorite of the Purges. It builds the characters quite nicely, to the point where you get attached to them.
I got teary eyed when someone died.

And it's really good on telling a LOT about people in such a short time.
Their actions speak more than words.

    Purge and purify, you sinners!

The wave: that is a very good low budget movie, well paced and acted, deserves a watch.

    JoJo Rabbit

    Masterpiece.
You can say so much truth with comedy.
    Taika Waititi is a genius.
Thomasin McKenzie is super gorgeous, I mean, talented.
I laughed and cried and laughed some more.

Choke: light comedy about a sex addict's shenanigans. It's more than decent and a good break from mainstream movie.

    Servant.

Absolute garbage. Premise is ridiculous and so are plot holes, to the point where nothing makes sense.
Watched ep1 and then fast-forwarded eps 2 and 3. Won't bother with the remaining two.

Not surprising, when that Sham-alan guy is producer (and director of some episodes).

I thought you already hated Shaymalam, dude.
What, you see his name and go:
'Aah, maybe it's not so bad' ?

That's a recipe for disaster, my friend.
Looks to me like you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

    Villains

    Meh, pretty decent.
Some interesting character moments here & there.
Also, it made me realize how much I aspire for a 'car-wash'.

Uncut gems: Adam Sandler is just brilliant, at some points he has a similar presence as Al Pacino. Overall the movie is good, just very loud acting New York Jewish style. Let's hope he gives up those childish comedies and start a serious career.

    The Outsider.

Up to ep5. Two more to go.

Really well made, in the style of True Detective season 1. It's written by Stephen King so might go tits up, aliens, demonic possesion, Indian burial grounds ect ect... Who knows. But up to EP5 it's really tight and creepy. Ben Mendelsohn is doing a turn as the lead and pulling all his acting chops out.

Just finished watching Bojack Horseman. Wow, what a ing last pair of episodes. Easily the best ending of a TV show I've seen since Breaking Bad ended.

Have this on my list of movies to watch this week, hopefully it's as good as you make it sound. Sandler has historically always been quite the formidable actor when he puts his mind to it. I don't think he works well as his own director.

I've also heard good about the show and will watch it tonight. Haven't watched some nail biting in a while.

    The Jesus Rolls

This movie was not endorsed by the Cohen Brothers, so it should not be seen as a continuation of The Big Lebowski.
This is a different animal, onto itself.
Turturo made the character, his mannerisms and quirky persona are all his doing. That's why the Cohens allowed him to use this character.
Jesus Quintana is not the hero we asked nor the hero we need.
Jesus is a drifter, a loner, a lover of life, of women and men, of balling balls.
Audrey Tautou is delicious in this.
    And in the end, yes...

    The Jesus can roll.
