high elves are realy good fun. the main problem good has is that even i you wipe oiut 'your' enemy other good actions fall. as high elves you can protect rohan by destroying isenguard. protect eriador, silvians, dwarves and eriado by at least hindering the OOMMs and later on help gondor by launching coastal attacks on harad. as elves i expand quickly down to isenguard and take them out. ally with rohan and eriador (dwarves if possible) .for now just hold onto rivendel. afer that. giv away all your rohan settlemts back (trustme its worth it) and mnarch all of the armies (veterans mostly ) to wa in the MMs

I DONT WANNA make a new thread for this, but on the new patch they said

    "good factions will survive longer"

What I want to know is, how much longer and how did they do it?

they probably made it more likely for good nations to ally together like ZZZZ's good vs evil mod.

i just came back from a campaing with Rohan. at turn 12 Isengard (the citadel, not the faction) fell to a siege by literally all of rohan's forces except garrisons.

now im pondering on what to do:

go north, kill the OOTMM, or go east against mordor?

    ill probably go east 1st

i havent seen this yet sadly.

Have played two campaigns so far on the new patch as isengard, and rohand was destroyed each time by turn 40, which was a huge dissapointment as i wanted to have a huge war with them when wer reached the late technology in the game.

They were a superpower at the time and kicking my arse, yet they dissapeared.

If I understand you correctly that has nothing to do with the good side's survival talent, it has to do with that you either killed all their family members or their current heir and current leader in the same battle (Or some other AI did it) making all of their city rebel cities. I think this is supposed to represent that when A: The royal blood line dies out the country dies and B: When both the current heir and leader dies at the same time then everyone tries to claim the throne and the nation ends in dis array.

I picked up a mod right off the bat that forces the good guys to be good to eachother. Normally these guys are like wolves to each other, you will have the good guys fighting each other while evil picks them off one at a time. Whether you go with that mod or not, I like Dwarves.

What I did in the beginning of my dwarf campaign was to upgrade the capitol's troop builder, after 5 to 10 turns I had access to the Axemen of Erebor. Now these guys are crazy expensive to build so I do not know what I was thinking in trying to get access to them but I think it is what kicked my game into overdrive.

Apparantly nobles like to give out missions. you get money for diplomacy and you get units for conquest. there are two starting locations to attack. The nobles will probably give you one of those missions to conquer a territory pretty quickly and if you make your Drill square up to date in Erebor you will get Axemen of Erebor for accomplishing these missions.

These guys are some of the toughest you will see in the early game and an army backed up by a bunch of these guys you got for free is not to be underestimated. The difference between these guys and the guys below them is night and day. In the end I accomplished 4 missions that netted me 4 units of these guys a piece in the first 30 turns.

Of course I got extremely lucky with missions. Every time my diplomat got near a new nation the nobles offered me gold to talk to them, every time one of my armies approached a settlement the nobles offered me soldiers if I took it.

Is it part of the script for enemies to want to be neutral? Because playing as Silvian Elves I was fighting wars against OOTMM and Mordor for the longest time, then at around 100 turns OOTMM agreed with a ceasefire and mordor sent a peace request to me. Thats what really kept me alive.

It would seem that High Elves are the easiest because they have no enemies near them (except for rivendale really)

When Im the good side lets just say rohan I bum rush first thing. I take isengard then hunt every uruk hai and finish them then after that hold edoras considered every invasion is called on there then afterward pick a evil faction then attack them/help my ally. But when im gondor for example I do the opposite I turtle and just hold them off you fight a lot of siege battles this way but your small forces and take a lot before going done (but I just retrain them) but I really dont like this strategy because it gets boring quick so next time im gunna have smaller forces in the cities and make an army and take the fight to them. FOR GONDOR! Sorry I always wanted to say that
