    Default Turning Off Auto-Save

After following the directions to get this mod working, I've discovered I can't find where to go to turn off the "buggie auto-save feature." I'm using Windows Vista, I'm playing the mod from R:TW BI v1.6, the game was bought as the Gold Edition so the files are stored under C:/Program Files/The Creative Assembly not C:/Program Files/ Activision. The only Preferences folder I can find in actually in the BI folder but the folder has nothing in it! Sorry, but can someone please help?

    See here : http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=260531

If that does not fix it, the preferences explanation, send me a pm and I'll get Brusilov to help as he is running Vista.

I presume you mean that you installed to "C:\program files (x86)" and not "c:\program files" as you posted. With Vista the first path is 'protected' and any files in there that are changed (save games, replays and preferences.txt) will go into the 'virtual store' and need to be found there.

Have a read of the first and last links in the first post in the following thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=167821. They explain some things about Vista (and why they are done).

A shortcut to find the base 'appdata' can be found by running %appdata% from the run dialogue box or if you don't know where that is (it's an option) use the 'windows + R' keys to bring up the run dialogue box.

I'm not using Vista at the moment as that PC is going back to the sellers due to overheating (when I can get my act together).
