    Default those pesky mordor "inquisitors"...

just wondering here... playing as mordor yesterday i had one of my orc generals "burned at the stakes" for heresy hehe...
and besides the fact that the irony was kinda fun, it also struck me that anyone with a low piety (whatever its called in the game) will face the risk of that fate...
including nazguls... cos none of my nazguls have a very high piety rating...

so are nazguls immune from it?

if not, then the nazgul trait should include a healthy dose of piety IMHO (and loyalty for that matter)

I had a Nazgul leading a 2 stack army rebel on me and abandon Mordor just as he was about to lay siege to a rebel town. Very un-Nazgul like behavior especially when their description mentions them being slaves to Sauron's will. Guess not.

Well, on that point it should be said you're not really Sauron. Still quite unrealistic to abandon Mordor unless he has a great plan to follow it up with. ;o

    2?

i only edited one... now the nazgul trait increases piety and loyalty by 8 (instead of just loyalty by 3)

feel free to use it... but keep in mind that i have the Real Combat mod installed and the Immortal Nazgul mod...
both of those may be needed to play the game with this submod...

A simple soution: take OUT these "inquisitors" they have no purpose in the campaign and are totally OT considering "the lore" (LOTR)

I know the graphic models are pretty cool but they could be used for other agents that are still as in vanilla.

In general, the whole "pope" thing should (and can) be improved by simplifying the vanilla script:
    - no more inquisitors - use the model for Mordor assasins, chasing the ring
    - no more papal elections (particularly corny IMO, now "my" sauron looks like a fat orc!),

Also some enhancement that Med2 engine could support:
    - better programmed and targeted crusades (="invasions")
    - some kind of Jihad for the Dunedain or the Elven religion/culture.

I almost tried to bribe the blind sorceror yesterday, he had 0 loyalty and a list of bad traits that looked custom applied tbh but after looking at my own guys I can see how it happened. Instead I just assisted the silvans in taking his town. I guess he died at their gate. I was too busy at my own to see how many he took with him. Would have been lame if he got killed while routing.

Nobody ever expects the Spanish inqui... I mean saurons inquisition!

I think Inquisitors are a good idea, representing a hugely powerful Evil side that is also a bit self-defeating towards itself, scouring its own generals for impurity.

The fix for Nazguls is super easy, just give them all 10 Piety and you're good to go.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."

I found it to be a neat touch myself, and would even think it to be cool if the inquisitors could effect followers of other faiths. with inverse requirements and what not. Even cooler is if they were drawn like flies to the Ring bearer.

actually i think its a good idea... sauron rules... not you!

so he weeds out the weak generals amongst your troops...

but with this mod the nazguls are immune at least...
