LOTR MUSIC SUBMOD

Now I actually am not yet releasing it because I don't know how much trouble I'm going to get into... I personally have edited the soundtracks (cutting them into segments so they match) and put together a large array of music for each faction (except OotMM couldn't find much for them). SOOOO that being said, how much trouble will I be in for uploading this submod?

I find that dreadfully unfortunate, it's a hell of a lot more immersive with LOTR music... oh well I'll enjoy it alone.

The TWC KGB will probably shut you down before many people can download it, so there's not much point in doing it. You could make a seperate site for it, but I don't know if it's worth all the potential trouble...

I really don't get it though, they already used pretty long segments from the movie (both music and video) and yet I can't just do a bit (well more like a lot) more??

You could create a torrent? You could possibly get into trouble, but I don't think anyone in The Netherlands has ever been convicted for seeding.

what you can do is say that you are doing it privately, now you cannot ask pople to email you if they want a copy but it stands to reason that someone would be clever enough to work out that they can contact you privately. just make an announcement saying what you have done for personal use and remind everyone that you cannot upload it here. Some people may follow your example and do it themselves for their own 'personal use'
Anything else will get you shut down and possibly even suspended from here. I'm saying that as a citizen

OK I discovered a slightly annoying set back... you can't have faction specific music! So unfortunately (for me of course, it's not like anybody else will have it) you'll (that theoretical "you" meaning "I") be listening to Mordor music as Isengard sometimes, Rohan music as Dale... etc... etc.

EDIT: What I mean is, it's culture specific.

You can for instance mod music of the following faction/cultures: northmen, gondor, elves, [mordor, Isengard, orcs], [harad, rhun]. So if you mod music of mordor, you also hear this music when playing isengard. So it's not possible to individually mod music of all the factions. It's not a mod specific thing, but also apply for vanilla version.

As far as I know that is not possible without changing th whole mod.

Would it be possible for you to give specific instructions on how to install the Lord of the Rings music? I've tried to follow the instructions for the general music, but that failed miserably. I have all three sound tracks, but I'm having trouble installing the correct music into the folders. I don't think instructions to install the music would be against the Terms of Service or would break any rules.

I don't think you'll get approval for a public release, just do it yourself (if you have his music).
