Just a newbie to the Total War series but loving this mod.

Was playing Mordor on the weekend and finally invaded and succeeded in conquering Minas Thirith. After taking the city I wanted to start building up the infrastructure so I could start to train / retrain troops and move on. After a few turns no options came up to build any buildings/ basic barracks etc. So I started to destroy some of the buildings left behind by Gondor thinking that was what was preventing from building Mordor buildings. After destroying all the Gondor buildings I still did not get any options to build Mordor buildings. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to destroy the Gondor buildings? Thanks.

You have to wait until your orkish culture has crown... (When i play as evil faction, i always destroy their messy buildings after conquering)

You don't have enough culture. You need to build the culture building for Mordor, which will slowly convert the settlements culture to your own. Wait a few turns and the buildings will become available.

leave them. its cause minas tirith if fu o gondorians and are unwilling to ight for you. over time the population will be replaced/converted and wil. unrealistic i know. but a good game mechanic
