    Default High-elves and armourer buildings

As far as I can tell, High-elves have no troops that are affected by the Leather Tanner, Blacksmith, Armourer and Heavy Armourer. Fair enough, but perhaps these buildings can be disabled for those factions that don't get any out of them? I have spent thousands of cash on these buildings just to find out I'll never get any use of them

They do unlock nice ancillaries. And less nice ones (ornamental armor anyone ? Arh Arh). Apart from that, you've just been elected Greatest Benefactor of Armourers and Swordsmith. Comes along with the chocolate medal...

But to get those ancillaries you have to have the generals inside the towns, and my generals are almost always in the field Thanks for the chocolate medal though

Wasn't this down to a skinning issue? As in, there are no skins to represent armour upgrades? Because I would be happy for them to look exactly the same, because frankly I don't zoom in close enough to have a look at the armour of the units, and I don't believe 1 point of defence is really enough to swing it either way, so I'd be happy for the units to look exactly as their un-upgraded counterparts...

I was under the impression that this was the reason for armour having no effect (although I don't know for sure) - i.e. armour upgrades require a skin to be specified for the "upgraded" unit; or it won't work.

Any modders know if this is true?

If it is true; my vote also goes for including the upgrades and having identical skins for the upgraded armour.

Doesn't blacksmiths and all that give an xp bonus for the units trained there?

Nothing in the description in my end about that though. Perhaps for other nations?

No. They give no experience bonuses whatsoever.

I have noticed only Vault Wardens getting upgrade from armourer so I just use these building to get me some extra cash because from captured cities AI seems to build them regularly.

You'd think that they would allow you to train eldar units or something like that. I hope that the TATW team will get rid of the 50/100 turns events that enable you to train new units (like Eldars), but instead make elite units more costly, give them longer recruitment time and a limit on the numbers of them per settlement (or something similar)...

i agree with Razor, the blacksmith line of buildings should be used as a prerequisite to unlock the eldar units, well maybe just the swordsman and spearmen, would be help balance them out just a bit more and reduce the potential number of cities capable of pumping them out a bit to add to there rarity

As far as I can tell only Dale, Dwarf and Eriador gets some armor enhanced from these buildings though.

I would be fine with the armor looking the same, especially since I wouldn't like the awsome Elven and Gondor armor changing anyway. As of now, the armorers are pretty useless.

This has nothing to do with the looks of the units. (Whyever anyone brought that up?)

And yes, the buildings are useless. So don't build them.

    Not entirely, as already mentioned...

As far as I can see Numenorean Armour is transferable (the only one?). Only Gondor gets this. If your field general ever goes home then you can give it to him from one of your governors that have it.

More bonuses? I play high elves, and my generals cut through the enemy like butter (!!). I can take 4 generals, and wipe out a 3000+ strong army.

I don't like High Elf generals cos they're mounted. I prefer the Silvan Generals. Nothing beats Sindar Archers.
