Hmmm the recent patct must have messed with this now, is there a newer version in the works?
The latest patch has changed the startpos file.
If you have patience for a day or two/three, I'll be able to give you the compatible TROM startpos file that has all AOR regions that we're going to use in future releases.
Hey first of all: Thanks for delivering the mod!
However, only a few minor fractions are available in custom battles. I especially miss Scotland and Wurttemberg. Is there a way to change which fractions are available in custom battle mode?
Ah by the way, I just checked the naval custom battles. I have 2 suggestions:
A) Portugal has 2 types of every ship type available for purchase (2 exactly the same sloops, 2 exactly the same brigs e.t.c.) this is obviously a bug.
B) The pirates can buy Galleons and at the same type they cannot buy frigates. This is a historical innacuracy - none of the known pirates used galleons in battle, while the most succesfull pirates of the 17th century such as Bartholomew Roberts (aka Black Bart) or Edward Teach (aka Blackbeard) both comandered 40 gun frigates.
So my suggestion is to remove the galleons from the pirate custom battle roster and instead replace them with a 40 gun frigate unit.
Really? Works for me, latest patch and all.

Oh I have no idea if it did or not, I just assumed it would have.
It kinda worked for me. I didn't look at it in depth, but some factions worked fine and others didn't. Looked like the Barbary States, for example, were just fine. But for the Knights of Saint John, Malta was covered by fog of war, I couldn't select any buildings or units or anything. And the Iroquois were a mix, some looked fine and some was covered.
Is there still no update on this? How can it be done manually by editing the files?
Hi all,
I would be very interested in seeing this re-appear, or at least instructions on how to do it ourselves. I hope it will.

Somebody point me to instructions, and I'll learn how and do it.
is this up to date in light of ETW 1.5 and TROM 1.62?
just checking...
That explains the crash whenever I click the end turn button
