Starting to play Rome EU ... and
because i am a newbzierrrrrrrrr playing paradox games... im sucking so much....
Any useful guides to play this magnificent game ?

Ah c'mon... It's not that bad. VV has made it at least passable. Especially after a case or two of New Castle.

I'm still holding out for the hope that there is hope and that this game will eventually have it's place alongside the other great PI titles....

there is as in all paradox games a lot of room for modding, but due to Rome:EU 's reputation as the worst paradox game, very few have bothered to try

there are a couple out there, and some are okay, but overall most of the expert modders focus on the other games

sounds like a decent (and hefty) expansion would save the day

well they did realise vae victus, which does improve the game, but i think most people had given up with it by then - the EU:ROME forum is probably one of the quietest on there site - EU2 rivals it sometimes and that game is over 10 years old, and most players have left for the much newer EU3

Europa Universalis Rome ..
EU 3 too

His guide was actually fairly good, although wrong in places... and not designed for VV.

I guess it is outdated though.

Mmmm...I just picked up EU Rome, and it's quite fun. Took me a day or so to really figure it out, but I've got the hang of it now.

Maybe it's just because I haven't sampled other Europa Universalis incarnations, but I feel that EU: Rome is not that bad.
