unspecified error PLEASE HELP!!!

hello there , just registered here lookin for help . well i got the unspecified error message while i was playing as armenia around the 5th turn and i had to quit the game. is there any way to fix this. this is not the first time i have gotten this meassage. i have downloaded the 1.2 patch for the original game , 1.0 BC , the 1.5 path for BC , i used the fatal error patch as i have XP , and i have uninstalled the game and repeated the download process sevral times with no results. ive even gone to the point of rebooting my computer and downloading everything all over again. this is realy annoying and any help on how to fix this problem would be much appreciated.

You need patch 1.3 of the original game!

Also make sure to install the available quickfixes, AND install the correct language version.
