    Default BUG: Javelin-throw animation bug for non-roman units with gladius-type sword

    Celtiberian heavy infantry from the Lusotannan roster still have their swords in their hands while they are throwing their javelins.



    The same is true for the elite African infantry of Carthage. Could it be related to the weapon model? Is there perhaps a quick fix?

    Never seen that bug before. There is no fix for it that I know of.

    Do they always hold both weapons when throwing, or does the sword only appear for a while?

    I have seen it before, although I am not sure if it was in EB or just in BI. Have you patched R:TW?

    The sword is in their hands all the time.
    And the game is fully patched and I've applied all EB fixes.

    Oh, that's nothing. The Praetorian cavalry have both weapons in their hand *all the time*, which is why their melee weapon is nowadays an overhand spear rather than the sword - it looked really silly when they fenced with those two-meter spears still in hand.

    Some sort of glitch in the model is all I know.

    i've seen it before. i think its from the weapons not being correctly labeled as primary and secondary on the model...
