Default Winner for Most Embarassing Technical Question

When installing mods for kingdoms or mid two, they tell you to backup. Ok.

What exactly do I back up.. the whole data/mods folder or everything in the Mid Two directory? And By backing up do I simply copy and paste all of it to a new location?

Sorry if this is more a general as oppose to mid two question. As you can tell I havent had much mod experience- more of a casual gamer whos only starting to get into mods now. Once an answer is given mods can go ahead and shelve this.

    Thanks, fluff.

    Not a bad question.
As in your case, for those you want to have more than one mod and don't want to reinstall because of mod conflicts, there is an easy way.
Is install Medieval2 and Kingdoms and patch them to Kingdoms 1.05. Copy the whole Medieval II Total War folder to the Sega folder. Windows will just name it Copy of Medieval II Total War and you can name it what you want.

I have three to five copies on my harddive at any time for this reason.
