    Default captains.

    I really like it that pretty much all units have captains.

    But sometimes, the captain doesnt make sense for a unit. Would it be possible to have two captain models for each faction, so theres always an appropriate captain with a unit?

    For Rhun I think the elite forces in gold armor should have a captain in gold armor as well. Right now the captain looks more like the servant of the others.

    The Corsair units for the Harad shouldnt have a harad captain I think. A corsair captain would be more suitable.

    And for Isengard an orc captain might be better for the warg riders, and if possible a dunland captain for dunland troops.

    No i dindn't...
    For Black Numenorans it's not soo bad, but if you choose 10 Nazguls in custom battle as general unit, you get a ork captain

    Or the Orc captain in a unit of Olog-Hai, lol.

    Not much that can be done about that though. With only one unit model, there isn't much diversity in what you can have.

    Oh i see. But if those nazgul are deactivated by default anyway, we shoulnd`t care about them.^^

    There are lots of people who want to play with them and unlock them - and it looks very strange when they are lead by a ork

    I wasnt refering to the commanding captain but to the captains of each unit.

    Actually it's the same with "your and my" captains ( you mean the guys carring the flags ?!?)

    He's not a captain. He's a standard bearer. He's not leading anyone and he is the servant of the others. He's to die protecting the standard. You don't put a high-ranking guy in a position of being killed right away.

    Standard bearers are officers DG. They lead the flag of their nation into battle and it inspires the troops within the unit. Losing it is a blow to morale. Not nearly as much so as losing your general but still a hit on the unit.

    I fully agree with this. You can make a lot more standard bearers so that units will have the appropriate ones. Should definitely be done.

    I'll get right on it master. Obviously you have better knowledge of my free time and priorities than I do. I wasn't even going to add standard bearers for the units. Be ing glad KK even added them. Tell me what should and shouldn't be done, and how much needs to be done. ing ungrateful community. I am really get sick and ing tired of all the whiners and complainers asking for more more more change this, change that. Its our ing vision. The lot of you go yourselves.

    Hmm, I don't think it warranted such an outburst...

    I understand that this guy perhaps phrased his suggestion worse, but you have to understand that all these suggestions are just that, suggestions. I'm sure that everyone who posts them is immensely grateful to you guys for making the mod but they just want to see it get even better. Is that such a bad thing?

    Well, DG is just pretty direct in his comments and though I wouldn't have said it so drastically I can understand him.
    People always think they can do better and they think we would have forgotten to make this or that. The thing is that the people don't seem to realize how much time all of these things need.
    Do you think we would not like to have a unique captain for every unit, unique banners, unique characters, more units, custom cities, more details...??

    There is a reason why we closed the suggestions thread: We actually need no such suggestions because our schedule what we want to include in the future is long enough...

    I figured these guys where leading the group as well. Usually they seem to have better equipment than the rest of the unit after all.

    To me they are captains.

    No...a captain is the commander of the troops when there is no General present

    These guys are OFFICERS - commanders of their unit.
