To those laughing: I gues the term escapism is alien to you ey? Also it's not nice to laugh at people.

Annyway, Don't all living organisms have boddy heat? The predator should see it with his heat vision, it worked in the avp movies

Being an absolute geek in everything aliens and predator, i can answer this.

In order to adapt to their living environment as inhospitable as it can be, the alien quickly match their body heat to the ambient temperature, making it impossible to detect heat from them. Besides the xenomorph's body composition is a whole lot different from animals on earth espacially when they have acid for blood and the ability to live with molten lead pouring on them in alien 3.

Also the concept of the predator's vision mode was base on the original avp comic prey. (unlike the movie its actually rather good), the predator have to switch vision mode to see different creatures. to put case in point, one of the predator that was stalking human on thermal got his ass handed to a pack of aliens because he can't see them. As such later concept of the predator vision mode as seen in movies and game was based on that.

well a few things i also know about about this stuff. there body heat is the same around them because they don't use heat energy to live plus there exoskeleton blocks any heat what would come out so if an alien dropped from the ceiling of ice to molten rock it still wouldn't make a big diffrence in what you see.

Oh yeah got some interesting news on the game from a mag i was reading

1st: The game is gonna be for grown man so expect plenty of eye shocking gore
2nd: Every species have their own movement system, for the predator you can hop around trees and canopy 1st movie style without having it turn into some clumsy platformer.
3rd: Every species will have their own execution moves. The predator will crack somebody's neck before tearing their skull out while the alien will give people a kiss of death (blowing their brains out). For the marines i have no idea, surely noone will be foolish enough to try and curbstomp a xenomorph.

I suppose the marines could get a kill move when fighting predators but even that would be a pretty stupid move when you think about it.
And it's right out with the aliens since you have to keep your distance.
Just look what happened to Hudson in Aliens who still managed to get hit by acid even tho he stood behind/side of Hicks when he blew the alien's head off with his shotgun.
Can't remember how Hicks got hit by acid.

Those 3 screens look very nice, wonderful graphics and very detailed. I liked the little "I *heart* Guns" sticker on the Marine. Reading the story though, did they actually pick up story elements from the AvP movie? The franchise is really moving in circles.
