Help - downloaded installation file will not delete

Greetings.

This mod sounded great. I downloaded 6.0, both installation files, and clicked on the first to combine the file. the application said the files had combined successfully.

I then tried to delete the files I downloaded. Part one deleted, but part 2 did not. Every time I try to delete part 2, I get a message stating that another person or computer is using the file, and I should close the application before trying to delete it.

However, I cannot find any running application or service (related to the file) to close, even when using control alt delete to bring up the list.

After this, I have been reluctant to proceed with the installation.

Help would really be appreciated.

anyway, by what means did you downloaded the file? have you restarted the pc since?

maybe the program used to download is still in use, maybe somehow the repacking was taking time to end when you asked it to delete the file, maybe
the antivirus was cheking the file... etc

I downloaded the file through the filefront link given in the post in this forum.

I have started and restarted the computer several times since I downloaded the file(more than 24 hours ago).
I got the same message every time. after reading your post, I restarted the computer, waited until all the startup routines were complete, and tried to delete the file. Same failure, same message.

This was after I had run checkdisc, defrag, and disc cleanup earlier in the day.

Today I was able to remove it. No idea why.
