it's sort of working now

ok, Imperator 2 is sort of working for me now, I say 'sort of' for 2 reasons:

1) the texture is still missing, but it didn't ask for it this time
2) at the start of ym battle with Pyrrhus my general said something along the lines of 'those sniveling cowards you can see over there are the Brutii...' and I'm like 'where? Where are they? Show me! Point them out to me! I still can't see them!' Perhaps the Epirotes were modelled off the Brutii faction and it's a glitch?

Ok, it's glitching again. I beat Pyrrhus and some other guy and sent my army down south (didn't even release I had another army to the north) and got my donkey kicked by the rest of his army, I took Tarentum but couldn't take Croton

Around this time I noticed my second army, I also noticed a big Carthaginian army land at Rome (this is about 3 years into the game) so I sent my army over and wiped it out, just as the battle ended the game crashed to desktop

I am really getting sick of Imperator 2 and RTR ER coming up with so many errors, starting to seem like it isn't worth the hassle

I hear you. I'm still hoping that someone will come along with some help as I'm having the same problems as you. I've managed to get to the year 256 and have just invaded Carthage and started sacking cities. The way I've been dealing with the CTDs so far is to exit the game and restart before every battle--that and to save often. It's a pain in the arse but Imperator II is great. I'm going to try reinstalling is completely in a day or two and see if maybe I can get it to work better because I know that sooner or later it's going to become simply too much of a hassle to do it this way.
