    Default Silvan Economy - Fix?

So I've been reading around the threads, and while some say the trade and income is fine others say that it is broken and a fix is coming in 1.1. I see some resource code that I could add that people have posted to fix the trade but im wondering if it will fix the worst off faction(Silvan)'s economy problem. After turn 55 it is practically unplayable without cheating.

Should I implement this code to make my economy better or will none of these resources affect the Silvan elf?

    Thanks in advance,
    Helkin

    I'm on turn 112 and making 10000 a turn with Silvans. I don't really see a problem.

Silvans have the highest kings purse of all the good factions (second highest overall, to Mordor) and they suffer less corruption problems due to the capital placement than both the High Elves and the Dwarves. However, they don't have a coastline, which makes some difference (more later on in the game). I don't personally see a problem with their economy, but if you wanted to adjust it, here's what you could do:

If you'd like to increase how much the Silvans get for their kings purse, do a search for the word "Silvan" in the 'descr_strat' file. Scroll down a little bit, you'll see the code for the king's purse (it's pretty obvious and right near the top of the Silvan Elves section). Change it to whatever you would like.

The 'Kings Purse' is a set amount of money that a faction gains per turn, different per faction.

Unplayable on turn 55? I just got my economy running well on that point. It might be little hard, but seriously if you feel it's impossible you are doing something wrong. You must think do you need every unit you have and disband all unecessary ones. Remember that for economy it's much more important to keep population growth on at least decent level rather than keeping taxes as high as it's possible within limits of public order.
We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

K were is the 'descr_strat' file? Is doing this considered cheating?

the trick to Silvians, as I am playing, is to short suit yourself, In my campaign im constantly going into seiges and battles short like 300 men, but the archers can really even out the playing field. Orcs of misty mountain, routed before they even got to me! that was a 2k vs 400 battle too >_< although that wasnt my doing, stupid ambush! still won that , so basically you dont want big garrisons and big assualt armies, just gotta use imagination with them.

I captured central mirkwood, made it my capital - and tatdaa: double finances.. Did the same thing with the high elves, making mithlond the capital. I do agree keeping the nations current capitals should be made more attractive
