any chance the broken links can be fixed? I've been meaning to download this to use in conjunction with IS but it'll take forever since rapidshare limits downloads per hour. Can the combined pack stageninja uploaded safely be used for IS? Since.. IS has its own submod for the FX and smoke and blood.

so I tired to download the full uniforms.pack from may 19th, and im still confused about the whole editing the pmpire.script thing.

the download did NOT have a new startpos file...where can I get just that file to install without downloading something
else?

Next, so it says put Mod "insert filename.pack" ok....does that get put at the top of the empire.script file? do we keep the parenthesis? Does it get inserted somewhere else? Anywhere? Any help would be great, im obviously doing something wrong, and if that makes me stupid fine, just explain it so a stupid person can understand. :0)

The all-in-one pack didn't work! I downloaded it (through firefox) and got a single .pack file. I put the file in my data folder, added the script data, but nothing! What am I missing here? Please PM me with help.

You have to use the mod manager. It is not a patch.pack.

But I still don't get where the startpos.esf file is. All I have is the big PACK file.

(Sorry to be so ignorant about these things, but I trust this is the place to get educated )

I love this mod, but is there a way I can have the all in one download without the smoke, just blood...because it is seriously slowing down my framerate

You can try to delete the bsm mod part of the mods. Delete something like mod_bsm*.pack in your data folder.

OK guys...I can't get this one working either and I'm, not sure why. I've got the Regalia of Nations July11 pack copied into my data folder. I've got modmanager1.5 opened and the regaliapack checked. I even opened the script file to ensure the regalia text had been added. When I launch the game the mod does not appear to be active. No flags, music, smoke, uniforms, etc. etc. Why isn't it working? I have no other mods loaded or installed. I have purchased the special units from Creative Assembly, but that is the only non-vanilla thing I have running...Please help!

Imperial Splendor/Regalia Compatible Startpos.esf file (compatible with IS 1.72 and on)

Installation Instructions:

Regalia Flags, Sound FX and Uniforms:
1. Download and extract the file. (If using Imperial Splendor, make sure to download the compatible startpos file)
2. Go to your Empire: Total War folder, then Data/Campaigns/Main/Startpos.esf
3. Backup your startpos.esf and replace it with the one we've provided.
4. Go back to the Data section and add Regalia.pack in the folder.
5. If you're using mod manager, check it and play!
6. If you're not using mod manager, Go to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Empire\Scripts\
( the Application Data folder is HIDDEN!)

open the text file: user_empire.script

then copy and paste in it, this string. Repeat for each different Regalia pack you use:

mod "Insert Pack File name here.pack";

For the Smoke and Blood Mod:
First, make sure, you have no other, older Version of Battlefield smoke mod or Blood mod installed.

Winrar is needed to extract files from *.rar archive.

NOTE: If you would like to use the patch.pack version of the Smoke or Blood Mod 3.1 you must do the following

1. Open the patch.pack with the Pack File Manager.
2. Check and Highlight the Effects line. Delete effects and save the file
3. Don't forget to make a backup of your patch.pack file before you do these changes!

NOTE TO ALL WHO PLAN ON USING IMPERIAL SPLENDOR COMPATIBILITY: Make sure to have RegaliaFlag.pack lower than modis.pack or the compatibility will not work.

i downloaded the full install at the top of the page and when i try to open it when done it asks me "in order to open this file, windows needs to know what program created it" what do i do.... did i do something wrong... HELP!!
