Default Joanna kicks Labour in the (Wool) ass

New Labour's treatment of the Regiment of Gurkhas has no become a shambles. No sooner as Gordon promised to review their policy on the right of veterans to stay in the UK than the Home Ofice issued letters asking some of them to pack their bags and go back to Nepal. Two are Falkland War vets.

Not surprisingly the Gurkhas and Purdey were a bit miffed.

Phil Woolas, explained that the letters were not "letters of rejection". apparently

    This is their story.

A Gurkha died yesterday in Afghanistan !

But this scenario where a minister allowed himself to be completely dominated by a celebrity was simply pathetic. God -dam.

To think that Wollarse sees the Gurkhas as a potential liability. For shame.

He clearly is not in control of his brief. He needs to go.

Mate, anyone seems better than the three we have a choice between now...

Did anyone else have an image of Tweedledee and Tweedledum in their head when they saw Cameron and Clegg trailing behind Lumly grinning idiotically?

    Priceless!

I don't often rate the Mail but please let this be true!

Phil Woolas, the immigration minister, stands accused of claiming expenses for nappies, women’s clothing and even panty liners.

What is it with English politicians and claiming expenses like that? It's like the home secretary claiming she should be paid for the Porn her husband watched. You'd think that people would have their staff check these things a bit better before sending out stupid stuff like this. But I guess politicians are almost like normal people, they never learn and constantly make the same mistakes... Only on a bigger scale where more people can see and could get hurt because of it.

I for one welcome our catsuited overlords.

It is fun watch the entire Government disintegrate as power is handed over to Lumley while she waits for the formality of a general election.

Their impromptu joint press conference was the funniest piece of news I've seen in a long time. And it was obvious that someone with considerably more political clout than Nick Clegg needed to take up this (very worthy) cause for it to be successful. Its sad that this needed to happen - celebrity involvement in politics is rarely constructive - but I'm glad someone did something.

The Daily Mail must be very confused about the Gurkha situation. I mean for once the Govt isnt letting "dirty foreigners" in, but this time they should be let in. It must be frying their brains.
