    Default Editing a file.

    I got mod called For king or Country and it runs in window. i read you have to change the
    preferences.cfg to a .txt file to read it and change it.
    the change it back to a .cfg file.

    1. where is the preferences file in the first place?
    2. How do i change it into a .txt?
    3. how do i change it back to a .cfg?

    You don't need to change it back and forth like the good old DOS days. Just open it in Notepad that comes with Windows, do your editing, and save it. Notepad recognizes the file format.

    If it uses the medeival2.exe look in the Medieval II Total War folder.
    If it uses Kingdoms.exe look in its mod folder.

    I don't have it installed on my computer so you're going to have to do the legwork.
