How do I load my troops onto ships in the EU3 demo?

I had the same question. First of all, only the 4th type of ship, the transport, can carry troops. Second of all, it is important to remember the transport:unit ratio is 1:1.
Move your transports into a patch of sea bordering the unit. Select the unit, and tell it to move onto the sea tile. In a week or so, at the start of the game, they'll be on the ships, ready to sail.
