RTR VII: The Iberian Conflict (TIC) - Patch 1.2
The Rome Total Realism team is happy to announce that the RTR VII: TIC Patch 1.2, or TIC Gold, is now available for download. TIC Gold is a series of amendments and "fixes", kindly compiled for us by Florin80, which put the finishing touches to the TIC campaign. The changes include:
- the Greek Thureophoroi model was adjusted to work better with the over hand animation. The spear will no longer pass through shoulder and head in standby position.
- the shared "barbarian" slinger model was adjusted so that the mustache of the celt is properly displayed.
- the Iberian Elite Scutarii model was adjusted to fix the small white line it had above the shield.
- the Numidian Cavalry model has been edited to add a belt across the chest(as the Libyan Javelinmen has) so that the sword will not hang on air anymore.
- the Punic Thureophoroi model was edited to fix the white line that divided the tunic vertically.
- the Greek Hoplite model was edited to fix a glitch to the helmet.
- a new Carthaginian elephant crew was created based on the Libyan Javelinemen unit. All Forest Elephants use the same DMB entry now so the old ones were deleted as they were unused anymore.
- the Celtic Skirmishers have been renamed Keltoi Javelinmen and they now have an adequate description.
- the Numidian Cavalry will now ride horses with no saddles or bridles as they are described in some sources. A new mount entry was created for this.
- Mercenary_Unit attribute removed from "custom cf Greek Thureophoroi" because they are a faction unit for the custom battles.
- the No_Custom attribute removed for the Carthaginian Towered Elephants so they`ll be available for custom battles too.
- the wife of the starting Turdetani heir (non faction leader) has been made the daughter of the faction leader(Indortes). This was necessary to prevent the chances (small as they were in this particular case) of the cloned character CTD happening later in the campaign.
- the character names of all factions have been changed using the lists researched by the RTR VII team.
- the Barca surname is now implemented via a special trait. The under aged members of the family will acquire it when coming of age.
- the script has been slightly changed to place Indortes in a different tile for the "The Turdetanian King has sallied out..." episode to prevent a side-effect of the reposition_character command which resulted in Indortes becoming invisible.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. decompress the file.
2. copy the folder named TIC inside the game folder where you have installed the mod. You will be asked if you want to overwrite the existing files. Say yes.
Note#1: make a backup of the following two files so you can revert the changes if needed:
export_descr_buildings
export_descr_unit
(both found in this location: Rome - Total War\TIC\data)
Note#2: the fix should be saved game compatible so you can add only if and when the ctd occurs (you`d need a saved game prior to the crush obviously). Still, backup your saved games before trying the fix. Just in case.
