What version do I have?

Hey,

I Installed Medieval II GOLD edition from scratch on Vista.

When I run one of the Kingdom campaigns it says the version is 1.04 when i go into the options menu and look on the game background.

But, when I run regular Medieval II TW and click on options, it says 1.02 on the background.

When I try to install a 1.03 patch, it says I already have 1.03 installed.

Is this true? Did CA not change the software version text for 1.3?????
I find it hard to believe I have 1.03 installed if it doesnt actually show it on the background.

Could be. The reason being 1.03 is purely for multiplayer and you'll never see it in singleplayer. If it says you're up tp date, be happy.

Alot of people on this site say dont install m2tw patch 1.1 but i cant seem to download patch 1.2 because it says i have no version i m2tw installed. I heard that patch 1.1 can cause problems and i am afriad to download it. Is it nesscary to install 1.1 for 1.2 or is it just my computer?

To answer your question from your first post, the versions are correct.

To install Kingdoms you have to have 1.3 (1.03 is the same thing). That means you already have 1.2(1.02) installed.
Kingdoms is 1.4(1.04). There is a Kingdoms Update patch that will make it 1.05 at www.sega.com/support.
