editing .texture files?

Just wondering what plugin/program i need to edit .texture in photoshop cs3? i looked at tutorials and they talk about .dds files or some such? And i know theres a converter for the dds files but i use mac to design and wondered if there was something i could use.

I don't know about these .texture files. They might be an archive of some kind
I have only ever had to deal with .dds files. Nvidia has a dds plugin for photoshop you might be intersted in.

Use Alpaca´s texture dds converter, you can find it in the downloads section of the main page.
