Having problems starting Chivalry 3.3 (with hotfix)

When I double click the 3.3 or 3.0 shortcuts it brings this up instead of the usual options:

The system cannot find the driver specified
The system cannot find the driver specified
Path not found - C:\
Error #bd60 -- Quitting

My main hard drive is L:, everything is set up so that it should be looking in L: for the .exe and whatnot. What is the problem I am encountering?

Yes, I can start up vanilla no problems.

Check the properties of the shortcut, and make sure it is pointing to the correct location.

Can you post the full path to the mod?

For example, mine is here:

E:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SicilianVespers

That's funny because I have the file. When I run the Launcher with the mss32.dll it starts downloading some files and then stops again and tells me about the lack of the .dll file.

Can you give me a clue on that?

What you say above with "platform" is the OS.

With Win XP, you shouldn't have any problems to get the mod running.
Eventually you should re-read the instructions, and make a re-install. And if you have for example not an unmodified platform (M2/Kingdoms), then it can't work properly.
In case as for the XP Prof version admin settings, you might have to look as well for the admin rights, similar to Vista admin rights.

About the M2TW platform, I had downloaded some mods, which I do not use and also I had previously "unpacked" the Kingdoms .bat files in order to be able to use the Kingdoms units in the original M2TW. U think this may cause any problems?

As for the XP Prof I am using an old version, should I upgrade to the current service pack or it doesn't matter?

The launcher just uses the simple xcopy command, so if you can execute xcopy, there should be no problem.

You should be able to find it here:

c:\windows\system32

The program name is xcopy.exe, or just xcopy if you hide extensions.

It is also possible that unpacking and other mods could have done something to your install, but check fo rethe existence of xcopy first.
