    Default Additional Voices 1.0

    Additional Voices v1.0

My intent with this submod is mainly to increase the amount of atmosphere on the battlefield.
What it does is add new voices for the elves, orcs and goblins, making the uruks and elves have their own voices instead of sharing that of the "lesser orcs" or common men.

This mod adds hundreds of new sounds to the game and to give you some perspective; vanilla M2TW had about 2 different voices for the command "attack", the uruks now have more than 50.

Unless I find the next version of Third Age to be fulfilled when it comes to sounds, I will continue this submod with more voices and for more factions, as it far from complete.

Most sounds in this submod come from BFME 1 and 2 so I can understand if this thread is removed, however it would not be fair as Third Age already includes sounds from that game.
Because the installation was so complicated I have uploaded prepacked files which means some of the custom sounds from Third Age are included. Because the people already have them I believe no one will mind that they are in this mod, but if they do please tell me so I can upload a "clean version".

they have voices, but they don't say "berserkers" they just scream 'cause they are insane or something, as is evident in their stats (lock_morale) .

I have the same problem as Joysong, the bersekers do not have any scream, nor voice :S Also the wargs are silent too.

In the v0.6 I have heard a lot of screams and shouts (checked the files manually and listened them). How can I hear them, what should I do? I have checked custom battles, Mordor campaign, Isengard campaign, and I did not hear any warg scream or orc shout :S

you have to move the original Voice.dat and Voice.idx somewhere else, i think. But do the elven voices work for you?

This new version is easier to install, just drag and drop basicly.
and about the additional units; if they use other voices then they probably won't have any voices if you install this one, but if they share voices with another unit it should be fine.

wav are used in battle, mp3 is used for longer stuff like the victory voice. they are both compatible with the game.

if neither is working then you have placed the files wrong.
    Text files should be in "your medieval 2 installation"\mods\Third_age\data directory;
    descr_sounds_accents.txt
    export_descr_sounds_soldier_voice.txt
    export_descr_sounds_stratmap_voice.txt
    export_descr_sounds_units_battle_events.txt
    export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt

Voice.dat and Voice.idx should be in "your medieval 2 installation"\mods\Third_age\data\sounds

if you're still having problems after that then you're just yankin my chain.

    btw, use the edit button.

Naxon, additional units mod actually changes at least export_descr_sounds_soldier_voice from what I remember. I guess that could be an issue ?

Hmm i installed it and there is no new voices fo elves and isengard - there are old - apart from berserkers whose haven't voices at all. So it doesn't compatible with Agostinos additional units, because it changes export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt.

ill really know how 2 mod stuff. and i see no reason for it why id shound be working probebly. iff installed the mod as you explained ( have done this the before 2 as it is explained in the reame) but still if i click on a unit like wags or bers. no sound is displayed. also no extra sound if a unit is dying. so it really ins't working for me ill hope more people will react 2 it cause it looks like iam the only one having this problem
