Hi! I'm new here and was reading a post from 2 years ago about the correct pronunciation of Leonidas. It is my son's name and he will turn 1 in a few days, and I want to make sure we are saying his name correctly. We say "Lay oh NEED us", but should it be "Lay oh NEED thus" instead? We call him Leo for short but it's not "LEE oh" it's more like "LAY oh". So is it "us" or "thus" at the end? We are American, and live in America, and I am mostly Greek in my heritage, my husband is German. So I guess we are okay with an Anglicized version of the name, but we also travel a lot, and I don't want to be in Greece someday and people looking at us all funny because we say his name weirdly. Thanks for your help!
