running imperiator

hi, i've just downloaded imperator, but it won't run

i've done as the readme said and the target command reads as "D:\Imperator\RomeTW-BI.exe -mod:IMP -nm -show_err"

but upon opening the programme i have the option of running the normal BI campaign or a proviencal campaign which turned out to be vanilla rtw

What is the original place where you have RTW vanilla installed?

i have a dual core and my vanilla rtw was installed to D\

What you do is to install the Imperator mod into an unmodded vanilla folder. Then check if it works.

i did

i play several mods so i keep an untouched copy of vanilla and installed BI onto that, updated to 1.6 then installed the mod

i've tried this three times (i'm enought of a regular to know that sometimes things just go wrong), each time i got the same result

Run the game through the packs named Marian or Imperator start-up. They usually appear as books, also can you post a pic of the actually RTW folder.

do you mean rar files - there is one called start up

heres inside the folder

EDIT; okay having looked at this i've done something majorly wrong (several times it seems) so i'm going to reinstall (again) and try to do better

then patch

then the hotfix

then copy the contents inside of the imperator ii folder and paste it into the RTW folder

use the imperator start up to play

Sorry about the difficulty of installing. I made a mess actually on the original installer. Have though of making a full correct installer (long time ago) but then the project was abandon as I was drafter to work with RTR VII team (for the release of TIC). I was also working at that time with a new Imperator using Mundus Magnus map but then my hd failed and I don't back that files anywhere else, so the project is dead.

The M2TW and finally ETW comes out and I have lost interest anymore to work with RTW/BI engines though I'm quite surprise there are people stil interested in thsi mod.

Honestly I though this is dead long time ago..
