    Icon5 Enabling cheats

    Does anybody know what the button for the cheat window is for UK keyboards? It's usually the button ` , the one just below 'esc', but it doesn't work for me. I seem to remember that in RTW you had to enter a line, something like 'enable_cheats = 1', in the preferences folder. Could it be that I have to do this for M2TW as well (if it is, what line do I have to enter)?

    It is called a console, and the button is called 'tilde'. The console can be disabled in multi player, but I haven't heard anything like that for single player.

    [hotseat]
    disable_console = true

    Check your configuration file if you have something like that in the other sections.

    Gigantus, in my 'medieval2.preferences' file that line appears only under the [hotseat] section. I've tried typing in 'disable_console = 0' and 'enable_console = 1' under the [game] section, but in-game the console still won't appear. Do you know what I could be doing wrong?

    Are you using a wireless keyboard? If you do, it's known issue.

    No, the keyboard is not wireless. BTW, I use Vista. Could that be the source of the problem?
