    Default A few questions

I will start by greeting all since this is my first post here.
I have played SPQR in the past years with great pleasure and it's by far my favorite RTW mod. A few weeks ago i started a campaign in SPQR 7.0, trying to get as historical correct as posible in my expansion of the empire. I tryied to delay reforms till around 100 BC by keeping Carthago_Nova at the large city rank, but a few turns after all the other ex-carthaginian settlements became huge citys marian reforms triggered allthough i didn't had Imperial palaces in that city. When i read the other posts regarding the marian reforms, i saw that they trigger when you build imperial palaces in ALL of Carthage's starting settlements... how was it possible then?
Another question i have to ask is why didn't Lt_1956 add Numidia and Spain back into the map since all of their units and buildings are present in the game files. I managed to add them back in the game (it wasn't too hard) and the AI reacts pretty much normally (it's recruitng and building, their economy works pretty much well also). Was it because you wanted to make Carthage more powerfull or what?
I am sorry if these questions were asked and answered before, i browsed this forum quite a bit before posting.

the marian reforms are normally portrayed as needing all Carthagian cities, but this isn't quite correct - here's the actual list

To get the Marius Reforms you will need to hold all carthaginian starting positions. (cities)

    List of cities

    Carthago ----------------- Carali
    Lilybeon ------------------ Locus Garamantes
    Valencia ------------------ Hadrumentum
    Gades -------------------- Leptis Magna
    Tingis -------------------- Carthago Nova
    Rusicade ----------------- Sitifis
    Taras -------------------- IoI

When you control these cities remember thy need to be upgraded to Imperial or Royal Palaces to trigger the reforms.
You will need 24000 citizens per city and building an imperial palace will take 16 turns to build.

as you can see Carthago Nova isn't on the list so this worked as it should

as to your point about Spain and Numidia, i'm not 100% sure, but i remember reading something somewhere, where LT said he left them out because they didn't have much chance at surviving (he always says that a faction needs 9 proviences to do well)

i know the spanish units can be experienced as the rebels in spain, and i'm guessing that the numidians are rebels somewhere as well

Thy are Carthaginian starting cities. We are not sure how the reforms get triggered the only thing we know is that you need those cities and that it will trigger when thy are huge. You probably need an imperial palace in most of these cities.

Is there a way to change it back to an imperial palace in Italy?

There is a thread that recently deals with the reforms and how to change them, perhaps all you need to do is capture Tingis and biuld that city up, instead of all the ex carthaginian cities. I to would like to change it to a imperial palace in Italy.
