How so?
We slaughtered many Sheep and Cow to fend off Mad Cow Disease, foot and mouth etc. yet our religion is never taken into account when we do this.. Only that we slaughtered them to stave off infection.

Yes I have to agree. The American and Canadian pig cull has really made finding bacon hard, but its what we have to deal with in these times of danger. I'm getting used to my Egg McMuffin with turkey bacon instead of Canadian bacon, but its just not the same.

I think that most important factor is to press the Copts (egyptian christians) some more. For a lot of those poor farmers, their pigs are vital for survival.

well the Egyptian media and people kept asking for it. i don't mind for such action. kill the pigs, save human lives. i know that killing those pigs will not 100% eliminate any possibility for such disease to spread in Egypt, but it will reduce the possibility.

as for the Christians, most of the sects do not eat pork of any kind. they follow the Jewish law. as a matter of fact, they were FOR killing the pigs, and not against.
