How do I remove Darker nights?

I don't wanna this change made by ziher, because when I go to the battle map and it's nearly night, after about 1 minute the sky turns black and I almost can't see any soldier... it seemed that it's night and any soldier lighted a torch... this happened to me twice...

Aranu tell me that maybe this is happening because of Darker nights change in Patch 6.2, so I would like to remove this change. How do I remove it??

Seeing as no-one else seems to be reporting this issue, perhaps the problem is with your video card or it's drivers.

Thanks Caesar Clivus but I posted this problem in Stainless Steel forum with this tittle: "Sky turns darker!!" and Aranus reply me with these answers:

you could remove the mod
or you could change the gamma lightning abit when it turns really dark

So I did what Aranu advises me... because I've played M2TW Gold Edition since last year and I never had this problem with M2TW, Americas, Britannia, Teutonic or Crusades. This darker sky problem only happens in SS mod. So I believe this problem could be because of the feature Darker night present in the Patch 6.2...

Here is the Darker Night mod. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=1155 Download it see what files it changes copy vanilla files to SS folder replacing the files. I don't think Stainless Steel 6.1 changed any files related to these.

Remember to always backup before doing anything.

its a problem with m2 by itself. it starts off as day time then moves to night. there arent any torch effects on units or buildings because it didnt start as night. not sure if anything can be done about it. doubtful

OH, i found out what you need to do to fix this
Go to data folder in SS and delete the "globallighting" folder and the file "weather_db"

It worked for me

He he, so it was you who said it ! I had this problem a year ago, and i fixed by doing what you said on that post from 2010, now i reinstalled the game again and met the same problem and forgot how to fix it

I remembered i had to delete some files, but could not remember which ones, so i searched the forums and could not find your post again, i knew someone said it but i had trouble finding it again ,ended up with mentions of weather_db and lightning and remembered that they are the files to be deleted

So yea, you actually helped me 2 times
