So, I have had/used the mod for quite awhile, and have enjoyed adjusting to the many new dynamics and complexities it has introduced.

However, while playing as the English, every time I capture Jerusalem, there is a CTD, with the message "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit."

    Any ideas/suggestions?

I will look into this and see. But It may take awhile, as I moved and have to find the Game CD...

    Ah... DRM is so lovely.

Once I do though, it should be an easy fix I imagine.

Ebullient Princesses! Titles! Bloodlines! Bastard Traitors!
So much fun in one little BBB package! Get yours today!

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster. First off, I love the mod and use it in conjunction with Retrofit 1.0, and GUAM. Everything works perfectly, until I try to capture Jerusalem as a Christian faction. Crusade or not, right when my General is about to take the city, I get an unspecified error(screen goes black and a notification window pops up).

I tried this with just retrofit and GUAM, and it worked perfectly with Retrofit's "Taking Jerusalem" video. For some reason BBB is causing this video to not be played, or something is weird. Can anyone help me?

    Hello,
I'm using the mod over GUAM as well and loving it, except I have no music. I've tried switching out music files with vanilla, but that hasn't worked. Would anyone be able to tell me why this is or how to fix it?
    Thanks and cheers!

I have a problem concerning the crown of genoa, the problems is my leader cannot get it...He spends 20+ turns in the capital (Milan) and nothing, the only thing i get is the pesky trait - inspires civil war. Any ideas?

Hi, I know this is a bit of a delayed response...
You can't become "king of" anywhere and get the relevant crown if you're "offensive to nobles" trait is too high. It refelects the nobility not really accepting the leader as king because of everything he's done. The only way I know to counteract it is to have high chivalry or to die!

I have no problem playing this mod (yes, people are still hooked on M2. I got shogun 2 and prefer this hand over fist to that).

Some gameplay issues though (tried on 2 different factions on epic campaigns now)

using retrofit mod with this..here is my issues.
    Revolt!
    Revolt!
I get stacked with traits for my generals and typically half of them are bad...very bad.
If I make a stack of generals to go off to a crusade, chances are, by the time they are back in the kingdom and near the capitol, they are all barely moving due to general starvation and hatred, most of them are ready to revolt, leprocy is running rampant, etc.

Oh, and you only really have a few generations before its all done anyhow...the royals become so touchy about who is king that half revolt whenever one dies.
I really don't mind the occasional disease or pandemic going on...it makes sense, sure...but traitors were really a one in a generation thing, not the most common trait a noble could have. adopt a son in 3 turns or less, he is ready to take a sword to the faction leader.

I also think the capitol is nerfed...both english and scottish I tried with this campaign and only once initially did I see a crown...otherwise, it was lost and just had a string of regents and the occasional kingmaker dude that upsets everyone.

I have tried everything...sitting the entire royals in the capital and let em rot sort of works, but that kills the functionality of governors..however, put one even the next town over and in short time he is ready to rebel

this mod seriously needs to tone down the percent chance of such traits and up the "royalist" trait bigtime...a noble whom was made duke of land X is typically pretty freaking happy about his position as the local big fish..not angry that his golden estate isn't the capital...he may get more negative traits, basically making him soft and greedy, but that typically only enforces his desires to be loyal due to the lifetime of party, booze, and women he has ahead of him in his mansion.

This mod is fan-freaking-tastic in some areas. I love that princesses are somewhat functional now (slightly). I find many of the new traits and such for generals to be great also..but its all offset at just how random, illogical, and widespread dissidence and rebels are...

Going to go back to the crusade example...going from London (scottish capital relocated) to Cairo then back again made the entire set of generals go sour..then I had to keep some actual rebels that sprung up near london alive just so I could ride my newly elected (and fully hated) king right into them to die so the other nobles would stop being angry for a few turns...enough to at least try to get them either back to the capital, or die gloriously.

My king and prince was all that was left at one point (both having leprosy of course...because, thats how this mod rolls), and they both got crap traits quickly after sitting in the capital, making my -capital- go red (even with full garrison and low taxes). run to the rebels and die, etc...

Again, this mod is seriously cool in some areas, but the few negatives dealing with rebellion is enough to where I may have to uninstall it (or at least try my hand at modding it to simply remove this rebellion crap trait that is more common than the cold)

Sucks when you think..meh, generals are now useless...no government anywhere, nothing...why bother, they will just revolt if I send em a city over.

Maybe I am doing something wrong...but I read and reread and to no avail...following as best possible the "rules" on how to keep familys happy, and it just doesn't happen...

    I MISS GOVERNMENT!

Now...rip out or seriously tone down the rebel trait (and just remove the starving/full spam messages..realism = 10, fun = 1) and replace it with the ability to marry your direct sibling (25% chance of very good or bad trait due to incest for offspring...now thats controllable fun...have a daughter of two great looking bro/sis couplings be unnaturally beautiful, or alternatively a monster with hunches and total insanity, etc)

Anyhow, rant over...doubtful this mod is even being worked on anymore...sad really considering this game has some serious life to it still...and shogun 2 sucks for replay value imo.

oh, issue about revolt somewhat solved...seems bringing the troublemaker to the capitol then removing whatever titles he has (drag/drop the title from his profile thing to another general) does work

I think I am over the endless bad traits though...seems if anyone stays in a city that is developed more than just a tent, they immediately start getting super greedy and corrupt. I love the traits, but I think the % chance of people turning corrupt and whatnot needs to be significantly lower.

Ya, politicians are tempted, but lets be reasonable now...I am as cynical as the next guy, but having everyone in power being a corrupt perv is pushing it just a tad.

Also, not sure if your doing work with the grand campaign mod (downloaded it). They seemed to incorporate some of your stuff into their stuff...excellent, just hopeing there is more incorporated in the near future.

love the bloodlines issues, and the fact that ladies "come alive" also, and not just direct princesses.

Hi, quick question for anyone that can answer...

I send my dread general to capture a town and after capturing it he gains the title for that town, if I then move up my promising young governor with "good taxman" etc to take over and pass the title to him, will the dread general suffer a drop in loyalty from being stripped of his title?

Secondly, if the governor with the title moves away to another part of the map, and that settlement is captured in his absence, does he lose the title or does the other faction now hold the title as well?

    Thanks

Dunno bout the first question but the second (according to the readme) both generals will retain the title to the same settlement. 'You'll have to settle the dispute the old fashioned way' lol.

Question to anyone who knows. How often does the sim check for Capital City change? I gathered all my 'Considering Disobedience' generals into one city and changed it to the capital (saves time from moving them to the old capital). The problem was the loyalty improvement didn't kick in. Now they're all Rebel!

Was wondering if it didn't detect the capital change or there was no hope in the first place?

[edit] checked title stripping - my general's loyalty only drop if I strip him off all his titles. Moving one or two around didn't seem to matter as long as he's got atleast one on him.
