Icon5 How do I entitle someone?

Help! I can't give titles to no one, I dragged and dropped in top of my generals a million times it makes no effect! Nobody seems to have had that problem, did I do something wrong? I installed by overwriting retrofit's data folder and txt files with the BBB ones.

    Icon7 Re: Blood, Broads, & Bastards! v4.0

pls help me to do that
which lines i would do insert both "campaign_script.txt" and "historic_events.txt."pls send me those lines

in historic_events.txt there is also these lines

{PIRATES_EVENT_BODY}Our vast and powerful Empire with her riches and many people has attracted the attention of Saracen pirates or horrible Viking raiders! They have attacked up and down our coasts mercilesly for the past year, ravaging, pillaging, enslaving our people! Should we pay them off or accept the loss in taxes and trade revenue?\n\n(ACCEPT: Pay 12500 gold to these evil men in exchange for a promise of relief)\n\n(DECLINE: -2500 gold, but our king may lose authority and spark a civil war due to his show of indecision.)
    {PIRATES_EVENT_TITLE}Pirates demand Ransom!
{PSAFE_BODY}Our Empire is too unimportant, weak, and poor to be a target of Saracen pirates or Viking raiders. They will trouble us no more.\n\nPerhaps this is a good thing, but perhaps, in the long run, it bodes ill for declining fortunes.
    {PSAFE_TITLE}Safe from Pirates
{PWARNING_BODY}The growing power, wealth, and size of our realm has been noticed by covetous barbarians. Viking raiders to our north and Saracen pirates to our south may raid our shores in search of riches and to enslave our people! Beware.
    {PWARNING_TITLE}Pirate Danger!
{PIRATES_MAYRETURNPAYOFF_BODY}As is ever the way with miscreants, the pirates to whom we paid our precious treasure appear to have consumed it all and grow hungry again for gold.
    {PIRATES_MAYRETURNPAYOFF_TITLE}Pirates may return!
{PIRATES_MAYRETURNSUFFERED_BODY}It seems the last raid on our coastal cities no longer satisfies the insatiable pirates. Though spotted very far away, the raiders appear to have returned and are scouting where to strike next. It may be years, it may be next season. Who can say?
    {PIRATES_MAYRETURNSUFFERED_TITLE}Raiders may return!

{HORRIBLETAXYEAR_BODY}Failed crops, this year m'lord. In this difficult financial year, we opened the Royal Granaries to avoid famine. We collected little wealth from our rural fiefs. And to avoid open revolt, M'lord, we expended 5,000 pounds of gold to purchase basic needs for our cities, including replacing a substantial quantity of wine that has gone missing. Next year promises better.
    {HORRIBLETAXYEAR_TITLE}Bad Harvest!
{TERRIBLETAXYEAR_BODY}Failed crops, brigands and pirates attacking our trade routes, and unforseen, but required, bribes paid to various barbarians has created a difficult financial year. We opened the Royal Granaries to avoid famine. We collected little wealth from our rural fiefs. And to avoid open revolt, M'lord, we expended 10,000 pounds of gold to purchase basic needs for our cities. Next year cannot be worse than this!
    {TERRIBLETAXYEAR_TITLE}Financial Disaster!
{DEVALUEDCOIN_BODY}It would seem we debased our coinage, M'lord! Its value is now widely known to be far less than what it was. In fact though the same gold resides within the royal treasury, it is as if 25,000 coins have gone missing. We should endeavor to be more careful with our accumulation of "gold," m'lord.
    {DEVALUEDCOIN_TITLE}Inflation!

{COUNCIL_EVENT_BODY}A council of Nobles convenes to assert their rights over their liege lord! Should we accept their demands and decentralize our rule so that each Noble rule his fief with more independance?\n\n(ACCEPT = Grant Nobility further autonomy - Lose tax revenue of 5,000 pounds of gold immediately, plus all Nobles will return less taxes (-25%) to the Royal coffers each year.)\n\n(REJECT = Assert more power! Demonstrate the source from where all rights and powers come - Gain 5,000 in punitive damages from your upstart nobles right now! But your Nobility will all suffer -1 Loyalty, except those who are truly loyal).\n\nAt any rate, m'liege, the nobles' attitudes will return to normal given time.
    {COUNCIL_EVENT_TITLE}A Council of Nobles

but what i could insert to campaign_script and anything to do that(to activate those events) i don't know

and i think i found a bug and double enty in "export_vnvs"
1- BUG : {Sickasadog} trait must be hidden but it is not . it is shown like this HIDDEN in generals trait list
    here it is

    so i removed these lines
    at export_vnvs
    {Sickasadog} HIDDEN
    {Sickasadog_desc} HIDE
    {Sickasadog_effects_desc} HIDE
and entries at the both these files
    export_descr_character_traits
    export_descr_vnvs_enums

and problem slowed and shown as a level 7 entry bastion of health

2-at the at "export_vnvs" Maybe this is a double entry cuss second one same as first and second one unfinished at the bottom

Great mod, but I would also like to request a version stripped of the rebel traits for general. Right now it is just excessive. Every single one of my general decrease in loyalty and eventually gain the "rebel!" trait. For some of them, giving them then stripping titles does not have any impact. I find myself micromanaging all of my generals when I am just around turn 20. I can't imagine what a nightmare this would be if I ever have something resembling an empire.

    I also have a question/request.

Question: export_descr_character_traits.txt is where I change the effects of (lack of) supply, correct?

Request: can you please implement more stages for the supply system? This would be useful for those using different timescales, who can then make appropriate adjustment to the effects of supply that seems more incremental.

Quick question about how supply trait system works. If you have a general with army that has run into bad problems and is at the lowest supply point possible, would the negative morale be avoided (in a sense) if the army ditches the general altogether? Ie, since supply is tied to trait, a poor general with bad supply would be worse than just leaving him behind, or? I assume here that armies without generals avoid needing "supplies" altogether.

    @ Twist of Cain

that's right. Only generals are affcted, so an army without a general isn't affected.

As billy said, that's the crux of any simulated supply system. The indirect penalty: you leave the fate of your army in the hands of a captain (hopefully a mounted unit ).

Would there be any way to change this mod so that instead of a morale penalty, it causes men to desert(die)? And could you apply this to any units without a general regardless, basically assuming without a general they have no logistics or minimal supplies? I was looking at reduce_unit_strength for this...

I was (am) investigating the "reduce_unit_strength" command.

Essentially, no. You cannot assign or track a general-less army. However, we could, I believe, introduce a random chance of desertion (using "reduce_unit_strength") every time a player's general-less armies go to battle.

Easiest way: Assuming you have kingdoms, first install the "Retrofit mod" for the original M2TW main campaign, then go to the first page of this thread and there's a download for this mod right at the start...

Ah... interesting! So they can't be tracked, but perhaps something else that happens regularly could be used to check for it? Units moving, units causing devestation?

I think it's how some mods accomplished single-man units (such as for things as heroes, balrogs, and the like)... Make it a 4 man unit and set it to 25% strength with the command... I wonder if it's usable on the campaign map too, or just the battle map.

Just the battle map, AFAIK. I'll be developing the idea once my housing/classes have stabilized.
