do people bother to read the text files which say things like readme or triggers.txt at all???? why do I write them?
I prefer trial by errorOr file perusal.

Hello, friends,
I've tried to play BBB&UAI1.6 mods simulataneusly.
Actually I did the following:
1) Installed UAI1.6
2) copied the BBB files to UltimateAI folder with overwritting
The problem is that started to play for Denmark at the very beginning
I got my king with only 1 star to Command skill, while the traits should give him at least 5.
Can you help me to run those mods properly without such problems?
Thanks in advance,
Sergey
I like many of the features of this mod quite much, but there is one thing that really fustrates me and ruins the game for me a lot of times. Its that "Rebellion!"/"Rebel!" traits, these traits are the most annoying things to ever encounter. It really ruins the immersion when you have to put some rebel generals in a ship and send them off to get killed. It would be fine enough if the unloyal characters go over to the slave faction, but when they are stuck with you, it is a major annoyance. Unnecessary and non-fun management and a real tiring hassle, is what best describes its experience for me.
Is there a way to edit some text files, to make sure these rebellion traits never appear in any of the characters in my campaigns?
Killing your rebel generals is not necessary. If a character becomes a "Rebel!", you can "neutralize" him by taking away his title ancillary (Count/Duke/etc). After a turn without his title, the character will lose the "Rebel!" trait and hold a slight grudge against you. The best solution thereafter is to keep the character close to your capital until he is safely loyal (at least 5 Loyalty in my book).

Didn't exactly answer my question...
This is too much unnecessary and hassling micromanagement for me (I have no interest in being forced to constantly move around governers or peeking into every one of their portfolios), and I was asking on how to remove it from the game (scripts and all that), entirely so that I don't have to bother with it. IMO, this feature doesn't work well at all in Medieval 2 Total War.
The reason I'm asking is because this mod appears in many of my favourite mods, and this feature is just a huge turn-off for me. I'm not necessarily looking for a challenging game, I'm looking for an enjoyable one.
I'm not really looking for an argument of preferences, so could you please explain how to remove it from the scripts? Thanks.![]()
Hi, Guys!!!
Your mode is awesome.
I'm playing it together with UAI1.6
(I've simply placed/replaced all the BBB files into UltimateAI folder)
But around turn 20 I got CTD.
I guess that "Tetsuido Tactics" event doesn't work well, but porbably I'm wrong.
CTD always happens when Papacy States has its turn
Can you help me with that?

Plus granting those nobles court offices combats loyalty quite a bit. The immersion factor of loyalty, imo, is critical to this mod now, same as how Pnut and I did supply. It's easy to manage if you just take a moment to understand how it works. But it also makes you have to think about WHO to send to a job and sometimes you can't send the best general you have far away to do something because you cannot trust him to stick to the cause so you have to send a weaker general.
I love those kinds of decisions.
And what Pnut is talking about is a series of traits characters get when they are near the capital, they increase loyalty. As they get further away over time (usually quite a bit of time) they begin to lose loyalty.
This mod is great! I forgot how much fun giving titles was in the original MTW. I've got a couple of questions though. I DID NOT unpack my game, but this mod seems to be working just fine. Is their something that I'm missing? I'm downloading SS 6.1 right now, and I'd love to be able to play SS with this mod. Are they compatible?
SS 6.1 uses an older version of BBB they adapted and expanded upon themselves. Since you're new to the mod, AU, you probably wouldn't suffer the differences.

So, just to make sure I understand you, if I install the SS 6.1 mod, it will already have a version of BBB in it, and I won't have to do any other modding?
P.S. I'm hooked on this. It's like the game is new again! I just put down my first insurrection, and it was awesome! I had two of my generals get the "disobeys liege" trait, for no apparent reason. One of them was my firstborn son, who had just graduated! I promptly stripped them of their titles, waited a turn, and then gave them back. Now they both have the "King's right hand" trait. Civil war averted.
That's correct. However, their Loyalty/Insurrection system will be somewhat different from what you experienced using BBB 4.0So, just to make sure I understand you, if I install the SS 6.1 mod, it will already have a version of BBB in it, and I won't have to do any other modding?
Funny how much traits and ancillaries affect your campaigns, eh?P.S. I'm hooked on this. It's like the game is new again! I just put down my first insurrection, and it was awesome! You can't trust those firstbornsThey think they're entitled to their inheritance while their fathers are still alive! (Richard the Lionheart, famous example).

One other thing, I noticed in the readme section where you can trace the bloodline's of your sainted family member, and set up dynasties. Where can I go to see this? Does it automatically show it in the family tree section?
Not necessarily. If a character is Canonized, his children will reflect this by gaining the trait "Legacy of Sainthood". I could attach an epithet to this trait which would be visible on the family tree, but, in the course of your game, it would likely be overwritten by another epithet such as The Chivalrous.Does it automatically show it in the family tree section?
Dynasties are founded by the sons of Regents, when they in turn become King. This too is only visible on a character's trait sheet unless I create an epithet for the trait "Founder of a Royal House".

Question: do the foreign Princesses now tell you what country they are from when they ask you to marry them?
Whenever I run the .BAT file, I see the BBB loading screen for a second before it crashes. Wehn it crashes, a blank error box appears.
Any suggestions?
