Mordor won't die!

Am I missing something here? (now unfortunatlely my fraps isn't working so I can't post pics) as the Silvan Elves I've rushed through provinces and I've got 50 provinces, including the ones for victory, and Mordor has no settlements left, but I've still got no game over

Maybe you have to destroy the one ring to finish mordor.

Yea I've had same problem with Isengaard. Its a bug in 1.0

There are 2 Mordors, the Mordor on the Map you fight and the Dark Lord Faction that is basically the Pope that issues the invasions (Crusades), which you can't defeat as the Pope Unit inhabits Foroloth behind impassable Mountains, which is intended.

I have the One Ring and Gollum ancillaries, and I am wondering this: can I do anything with them, especially the One Ring??????

Nope.

It's just an Ancillary that gives you higher stats for the general that holds it.

How did you get hold of the One Ring by the way?

Check this site. The 95th retinue is the One Ring. You either get the ring by garrison a general in the Misty Mountains or by killing the former owner in battle.

I have gotten the Ring about 3-times in the game when playing as the OotMM, and someone here said that you will get the Ring if you hold Moria - the capital of the OotMM - and other cities in the Misty Mountains. I just got Gollum and never had the Sneak before.

Yeah, and that site just states the One Ring and Gollum retunie are transferable and that is it. So, they aren't anything special, and the One Ring should be very special.

I have the same prob with my dwarves in a short campaign, over 30 provinces conquered, no Settlement of the Orks otMM left but anyway Orks otMM are still there (but i don't know where? 20 Rounds combing spy's over the map with no hint) and no GameOver... And i have no Ring, no Gollum, nothing in that direction.

and i have 1.1

Could anyone help pls?

Just FYI guys - there are two settlements not intended for gameplay.
One is for Sauron, to prevent a CTD if his settlement was to ever be taken and to allow Invasions to be called.
The other is rebel and the entire province is the northern wastes - my assumption is that this was isolated to prevent AI armies roaming the northern wastes province.

And just want to add - KK your post is very good, giving credit where due!

Finally, for anyone who hasn't found the ring, your not alone! i have never seen it either!

Cool thing, Aragorn found the ring when he was hiking near the woods of Fangorn after I killed Gauthak- when I was playing as Eriador.

That ing suddenly turned him from a Chivarous leader to a Dread Lord- I can't imagine him being such a character

I have seen some AI armies bordering that territory doing nothing but not moving in it.
