Very nice! Can't wait to see where this goes! Unfortunately, all I can really offer is encouragement.

What folder do you put these files in? Or are these for modders to use?

You just extract the file to your medieval II total war folder and overwrite all files.

Louis you updating this again soon? I find that more 2D stuff would be sweet.

I will first add aged portraits for custom generals and gondor generals, and add some generals that got left out like Círdan. For other stuff I will make some wips before the end of the weekend. I'm kind of busy with other stuff the folowing week so I will make little progress, but then I will work steadily and hopefully other 2D artist will pitch in by then.

Wife's and captains are digital paintings and regular generals are photorealistic.

I made this Alatar, he is being used as an ancillary, I might make him available as a general.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Wizards
They are called the Blue Wizards on account of their sea-blue robes (each of the Istari had robes of a different colour), and their individual names are given in the unfinished talesas Alatar and Pallando.
    Hmm?

I added a beard to her.

Yeah but mine is evil, saruman forsook his 'the white' title an wore a all colors robe, my version of Alatar chose a dark blue robe.

    UPDATE

I made some adjustments to custom portraits you can download it in the first post. Rhun now starts with 4 generals with custom portraits, and many generals now have aged portraits. If someone wishes to have a Círdan general tell me, so I can include him, this will require a bit of scripting and if you already started a game with high elves it might mess up your game a bit. Next I will do wives and captains, was no one screaming lore-rape when arwen was set at default wife or that Aragorn has a son named Ric?

Nice work, but I would be screaming lore-rape if you put Alatar as a general, please don't do that.

He is already in as ancillary, what I'm wondering is if I should add Círdan the shipwright as a starting general for high elves.

About generals with same portraits, I will be adding some stuff to Gondor and will take care of that.

Well, I would hate to see Cirdan dying, but he actually should be a General.
