High elves dissapear?

Playing as gondor, i very suddenly had the High elves dissapear off the game for no apparent reason, they were going very strong as well, one of the best

this has happened several times in SS, here factions have been dustroyed very suddenly
i don't know if this is a bug, or just the AI killing off all family members some how

That's just what happens to Silvan Elves in every campaign I've played. :O
Could it be some kind of revolt?

Happend to Rohan in my vh/vh Campaign as well, I think the ruling House got just whiped out by assissins, because i had spys in some regions of Rohan and suddenly, at one turn, they became bandit-regions and Rohan was anihilated.

Yeah i had that experience with Silvan Elves to.They just die out quick.

The same happened to me with Gondor, they had lost some cities to mordor and harad but with around 4 or 5 cities left they just disappeared.

Family members dying, that's the trouble, it's not a bug. I doubt it is anyways.

I think the problem may be that there are some factions with small family trees at the beginning. If AI do not adopt every time they can, or if some starting family members die (in battle or by assassins) they can mist away easily. Try playing Silvan Elves: the first child was born for me when my generals were about 40-45 years old! At the end of turn 15, there were only 4 members of my family! Later on this has changed, but had to guard my generals in battles very well!
