    Default A few questions.

I still cannot increase loyalty among my Generals and family members. I make them governers but nothing happens. Also, is there some sort of trigger for a civil war when you reach a certain date? The senate declared me an outlaw after a couple turns and i didn't even go near their land; and they blamed me for starting the war when they attacked me!!!
So far i have conquered Carthage, Egypt, the Iberian penninsula, all of Italy, and Macedonia. The Greeks are relentless and i finally restrained Gaul for the time being. So are there any triggers for events once you conquer a certain amount of nations or a specific nation?

I believe so. I am not sure what the amount would be to trigger the civil war but i remember some thing of 50 provinces.

The Civil war will occur MANY times in your campaign but doesnt start until you have a good empire of course that means LATER in the game, if you cheat and conquer fast etc then you will miss out. With all the land you have taken it sounds as if you blitzed and dont use the script?

On the generals they dont gain loyalty everytime, its very random, its just a CHANCE for them to gain something, they wont gain nothing in the field, also the city has to be an imperial palace I believe, its been a while. lol

I've had generals gain loyalty in towns with lesser palaces than imperial ones. Some of my old veterans that were down to 1 loyalty are now at 3 points after some 10-15 years or so in retirement as governors of towns. Might go faster in imperial towns, dunno

I had a general flip on me...too long in the field. Then on the next AI shift I had CTD.
So I reloaded, and the reload took me back to before he flipped. Just to experiment I took him into Genua. Dumpy and underdeveloped town with nothing going for it.

He's still loyal 10 turns later.

So maybe they don't gain points governing, but they sure do stop losing them.

Oh, they DO gain loyalty points, but its random, and it may take times to get them back to reasonable levels...
