    Default You're Not my king

sorry to start a new topic about this, but how do I remove the "you're not my king!" trait, and if i do remove this trait should I replace it with loyalist trait, please answer this is ruining my game as it seems to be completely randomly generated with no reguard for character traits.

It's not random. If your ruler has weak authority, and your generals are a bit far from home, expect them to rebel. Your ruler created a civil war. It happened to me once and since you are viewed as weak by your own nobility, hence the rebellion at hand!

    To arms!!!

The "Rebellion trait is awful, absolutely awful... I just got a general who is "loyal beyond question" rebelled on his first turn in my family, if i move him out of the city, then i have to pay the field script.. if i don't he'll get booted out when the city rebels and I'll have to pay it anyway. If there was some way to kill him the script *might* be ok. I've already had 2 generals, both of whom had good loyalty traits go rogue, one was actually bribed after sitting for ten or so turns and then had full loyalty... the other was in Naples, i left him in the city for RP value and the city rebelled and he has been sitting in the province without any troops for around 20 turns
That was my fault for not posting that part too. I get the civil war part, but there really isn't a civil war...just some bad trait that doesn't do anything to hamper me or make any sense according to the traits the general has. the "war" is over two rebelled one got bought by the "slave" faction and i killed him, the other is sitting in Naples province after my forces retook the city he got kicked out of.

It might be a really good script but it needs a lot of tweaking, there is no reason a general who is "loyal beyond question and at 8 loyalty would rebel the turn after your "king" gains 2 authority. If he was "speaks of loyalty" or worse, then I'd get it, it would piss me off... but it'd make sense.

If you read any history, it is filled with this sort of thing. How often was a King betrayed by someone he thought was loyal. This was very common.

Since you are new to SV & mods in general, I would recommend playing on easy...until you get the hand of it.

A very good piece of advise...."keep your friends close, but your enemies closer"

Just don't put nobles of questionable loyalty, on the periphery of your kingdom.

Also, if your despised King should come to an untimely death... the rebellion will be over

Those traits are fired better in the later versions of BBB, and in v 4.0 they work really well, but judging by your style of play, you wouldn't like 'em.

I find it odd you complain that "nothing" happened in the "war," when in fact it sounds like a perfect rebellion- you lost one general permanently to treason. And the other betrayed a town you had to retake by arms- but he's smart enough to not go gray... so you'll have a dissident of sorts for awhile who disobeys you until the the king reclaims his trust or his heir does (which is a lot easier to do in v4.0 of BB coming probably this weekend). Sounds like it's working exactly as intended. It isn't meant to split your empire in two... I can't imagine what sort of complaints you would have then...

Anyway in BBB 4.0 loyalty is taken into consideration a lot more and anything above 5 loyalty makes rebellion pretty darn rare. But it happens more often when it's lower. However you manipulate loyalty by having nobles stay in court and rewarding them with offices.

Anyway to get rid of it remove all triggers which have "Affects Offensive_To_Nobles" once your little rebellion is over.

I'm relatively new to M2, so I'm not up on the mods or what "BBB" is.. my main problem with that script is the way it seemed to ignore the traits or loyalty.. in face the first time i saw the "you're not my king" I had a general with 0 loyalty who stayed with me. Hopefully SV will release a patch with the new system.

How do I do this? :$

I really have no idea how to do this either or how to get the authority of my king up, could it have been because he wasn't in the capital for so long and not fighting?
