Default Quick Nvidia vs. ATI question...

Ok, so I have an older computer that has no PCI express spots, but I do have an AGP slot.

Currently, I'm running M2 on an Nvidia/MSI NX 6200 AX. It's playable, even enjoyable, but it's not great. Specs here: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p...D256&class=vga

I know I have fairly outdated technology since I don't have PCI express, BUT.....

Is it worth my dime to upgrade to ATI's latest AGP compatible card, the HD 2400 Pro, Specs here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1203815723741.

Advantages are that it's 512MB instead of 256 and it looks a lot faster as well. My processor pushes about 2.3, and I have 2 gigs of RAM, so everything else is fine, right? My fear is that the rest of my system will basically force a better card through a bottleneck and it won't matter.

Note: I am only interested in playing M2, there's no need to re-outfit my entire computer to be able to play whatever is brand new. I can wait a few years for Empires, I've waited a few for M2 and besides I still play RTW. I just want to optimize M2 and my question is, will this card be a significant difference?

    Thanks,

I am assuming then your cpu is still a Pentium 4. Even then the game only uses one core.

It will be an improvement but you will have other things for bottlenecks because of the age of your motherboard including ram speed. You would have to decide if there is enough bang for the buck. Personally, I'd play with it as is and save my money to build a new system. I think you'd be happier in the long run.
