awesome - can i get more feedback? how do the factions act over time?
Ok I'm at turn 50 as Gondor (VH/VH) - no Good factions have declared war on other good faction (or evil on evil). So High Elves have not attacked Eriador. Eriador has gone to war with Isenguard recently however. Also I have not seen anyone break an alliance yet.
I am really enjoying this campaign (I have RC installed and a few others minor mods as well). Well done and keep up the good work.
+rep
EDIT: BTW I am using your starting alliances tweak as well.
are the allies active? are they doing anything once they conquer the rebels? do they support allies in the battle front lines?
with my original files this happened but reports from others make me wonder..
Everyone is still alive. Isenguard may be destroyed soon however their regions are all split up but they still have a few stacks running around.
I haven't notice AI factions helping each other in battle - but I don't see much of them. They are too busy fighting Isenguard/OotMM/Rhun. And I'm too busy fighting Mordor/Harad
Have you noticed any military access rights and/or trading agreements you had at game start with your allies without needing to negotiate for them?
Yes I have noticed those. I think I have an old version of your mod though. Off the top of my head I was allied to Rohan, Eriador and High Elves at the game start with trade rights and military access. I did try to ally with the Silvan elves but they were snobs
Come to think of it I think I saw Eriador helping Rohan against Isenguard Eriador was going through Rohan's territory and attacking Isenguard.
It was the formatting that prevented some of the settings from working.
People using the code directly from the forum need to edit it a bit, changing the tab's for a single space, ect.
The file i uploaded in the first post will work 100%.
All factions who are meant to have trading rights, military access, alliance, war, neutral, are now working completely as intended.
Unless i have received reports that there are still error's i consider this mod finished.
Enjoy!
While I think it is a good idea to make alliances more stable, I don't know how I feel about military access. Rohan was objectionable to the idea of Gondor armies in thier lands, despite the threat. But then again, it depends on if these modifications will promt ai armies to move up and attack the closest enemy army even if it is in your territory, thereby assisting you in battle such as in the later movies where the elves helped at Helmsdeep and Rohan at Minas Tireth.
Er, did you use my strat file as a base? Just asking because all the reputation values are the same... I don't mind if you did but could I get credit? Or is it just an eery coincidence..
