    Default SUBMODS

    May I ask a thing? Are you going to keep the mod up like Stainless Steel with tons of submods of which half are buggy/useless or will you check them out as they arise and IMPLEMENT good ones after some personal touch? Also, I would suggest dividing 'Submods' section to two - first subsection being 'Good/working/worthy submods and the second subsection to store all the rest. Also, when you implement a submod to the mod after some optimizing, give the guy a credit BUT delete his submod from the forum or move it to 'already implemented' or something like that tab. I mean, it's good you allow submods and stuff, but from casual player's perspective seeing (at some point) 20+ pages of sub mods doing tons of different things and of very varying quality I think you need to sort out the mess before it gets out of control =)

    How would you feel if you spent hours making a submod and then it got put in the "useless/buggy" subforum? The system works well in the SS forums. All the users has to do is put in a bit of effort to find the ones he likes...

    Yes I expected this kind of an answer, but think more of this - some quality control wouldn't hurt and if your submod proved to be of quality and to improve what it's said to improve/change without bugs or problems it gets to the 'already tested/viable' section. It's not like somebody will arbitrally say your submod suxs =0 I just proposed a way to segregate this mess. Many submods tend to be no longer supported and you end up finding something what was viable for previous versions without a notice. It's not a form of discrimation against submodders, it's just a service for the players that want to use them.

    It could be as well 3 groups:

    a) featured submods

    - submods chosen by the Third Age mod staff due to their quality design and unique features/gameplay, but which didn't make it to mod incorporation because they would conflict with other submods/original idea behind the mod itself
    - stands for a token of quality/prestige

    b) supported submods (all mods which are compatible with latest version/their author is active and tries to adapt the submod to latest mod version)

    c) no longer supported submods (inactive submod author, prolonged time of lacked compability with latest release, etc)
