Best free 3d program

Alright , since i thought that i'd also give modelling a go (for my future mini-mod

) , but i don't want to pay 3 grant , wich program is best for modelling (but is also free) And where can i download it ? I know these free programs , please tell me wich is best (for modding RTW (and maybe M2TW))

Got to be either Maya or Milkshape.

Sketchup isn't bad for modelling buildings and then exporting then to either of those

Everything is free ^^.

Google Sketchup is good for buildings.
Maya is for units.

There are people who adore Blender. It is difficult to learn however, as it is very different to what most other programs work like.

Alright , thx for the answers .. looks like im' gonna go for Maya .. Does anyopne know a download link ? I searched at the autodesk site at the Maya section , but all i could download was a trial version ?
