Singeplayer hotseat

I was wondering if you could play 2 factions at once. Ie: Elves and Gondor, or Isengard and Mordor.

And has anyone done this? How is the gameplay with 2 factions?

Yes this is possible for gameplay it just plays like a normal campaign your now only two factions Pretty cool imo.

I was thinking it would be neat to use the elves as a powerful reserve unit in accompaniment to Gondor. And I play campaigns extremely slow in total war to let the ai build up some steam, so ill have the attention span to deal with two nations while theres not much battling going on. No zerg rushes for me.
