Rohan is really strong!
I started my campaign as Rohan (Duh!), and my brother kept saying "Omfgsoweak" but guess what? They're SOOOO strong!
VERY powerful militia units and cavalry make them almost indestructible!
I love'em!

Yes, I also thing so. No really, I do. Due to this thread I know I have to play Rohan at least once (which I would have done anyway)i thing that the things like this MUST HAVE THEIR OWN THREADS!!!

Bah puny horse lords, in my gondorian campaign i funded isengard against them, it gives me a better pretext to invade their lands under the idea of 'liberation', it is after all rightfully Gondorian land on loan to those northern peasents.

JUST YOU WAIT. Don't get cocky like I did. I was destroying the orcs of mordor like rats with gondor. By turn 45 things took a turn.
The Orcs had trolls and heavier infantry. They quickly took back Osgoliath with brute force. 5 of my generals died in the siege of osgoliath.
Before I could regain my men, the Harad starting coming in ships to invade my lower region. I send my best man from Minis Tirith to aid my southern kingdoms... Which left Minis Tirith defenseless. The next turn or so the orcs with 3 stacks of 2600+ so around 7500 men...Attacked Minis Tirith. They took it and now i'm screwed.

That's why I love being Rohan, your only TRUE enemy is Isengard, and once you beat them up you can help Gondor quite a bit, and that's when it becomes 2v2, which makes it a whole lot easier for Gondor.

ya i have to agree, rohan is VERY strong, i was playing as isengard, and it was incredibly hard just to capture two of their cities, and when i mean hard i mean i had to raise 5 armies to march on them

Im gondor and it was all swell,slaughtering little orces left and right taking over minis ithil laughing at the pityful atempts to get it back.Now i regret not attackin mordor head on.Olog hai , uruks , thousand of thousands of orcs marching toward my kingdom.I still put up a good fight it was mostly a stalemate between mordor losing minis ithil fighting to get it back.Till sauron gazed on eastern osgiliath....suddenly the harad are back at war with me along with the Ootmm.Suddenly my forces are split and being atacked by harad ships on the south and mordor sending wave after wave of orc against me....I'm about to start over because honestly an attack every single turn is just to overwhelming lately...

And may I add to my previous post, that when you get one of those pesky invasions against you. Things tend to quickly get out of hand... no matter how strong your horses are

In my campaign, Harad just attacked Edoras and since i had a half full stack near the city, i thought id help them out by sending them over as they had little to no garrison. One turn later it's fully stacked.

Well, with my newest Rohan campaign has ended due to a crushing defeat by my part, I took out Isengard and half of Mordor, but Gondor was attacked by sea, and Rhun attacked my northern outposts... I had no chance... Those attacks gave Mordor enough time to recruit more armies, and retake its lands, Harad soon helped them and Gondor was destroyed... Sauron's eye was fixed on the Hornburg... And the invasion was at hand... Rhun took my 4 northern settlements, Fangorn as well, the Orcs of the Misty Mts. took Byrgil, Isengard, Dunland and one other city, Harad, utilizing their forces from Gondor charged at the Hornburg and took it, afterward they took the rest of my western cities (3 I believe), and Mordor stopped mid-way to the Hornburg, as the invasion was over... Right near Edoras... And it was destroyed.
With the last of my family members killed, the legacy of Men was over, and the shadow swept across the lands of Middle Earth... (Even though all 4 of them attacked me at once, it was SO fun, all the big battles were lost on my part, but it was VERY fun. )
I have started over now with Rohan and the Elves, and I know what to do
