My greatest empire (Out of 4 campaigns I've started...): ROHAN!

At the first few turns I conquered 3 rebel settlements around me, one western, one northern and one southern. I forgot their names.
Anyways! I started building up a small army (Sadly, aside from Hornburg, I could only use militia units, oh well), and guess what? It was just in time that I did that. All my castles had unit recruiting buildings and same about most of my cities, the Dark Lord of Mordor declared an invasion on me and Harad and Mordor complied, Isengard, did not (I made sure of that, assassinating any Isengard general in sight).
Soon enough, the army of Mordor reached my northern settlements, and my 3 main armies (Controlled by Gamling and another random general, Erkerbrand and Theoden + Thengel) marched in front of Edoras, the location of the called invasion. The Mordorian army reached my armies, but so did the Haradrim, at the same time... Needless to say the battle was fierce. I won. Erkerbrand died (Go AI go!) along with most of his army, but the rest survived and annihilated the Mordor and Haradrim armies.
The invasion was called to an end, after another failed attempt by the Haradrim.
Soon after, I sent all these armies to the main castles and upgraded them, and whilst doing that, I upgraded my cities and castles with many economical buildings. I sent emissaries to the Elven factions, Eriador and the Dwarves, soon enough afterward, to Gondor, and I found that Mordor and Harad are destroying them... I acted quickly.
I sent 2 of my armies (Only half ready!) to Gondor and retook Osgiliath and Cair Andros, I gave them back Osgiliath but I kept Cair so I can take care of Gondor with ease.
I mustered a huge army in Cair Andros, and kept it there, awaiting any sign of attack by Mordor (I had LOADS of watchtowers all over, seeing all the way to Osgiliath and Minas Tirith), I was not wrong to do so. Harad attacked Osgiliath from the western side by ships, and Mordor the eastern! It was doomed. I sent my full army from Cair Andros to Minas Tirith, to stand by its side, and in the meanwhile I kept recruiting from it, whilst my armies back at the mark were upgrading and retraining.
The attack came, I attacked first, sadly, so the battle was held outside of Minas Tirith, but I did not falter! My highly trained forces murdered and butchered the enemy from Mordor, leaving nothing but dust behind, the Haradrim fled in terror back to Pelargir, and I launched the remainder of my forces to take Pelargir back... Unsuccessfuly.
My young general (Only 23) died in that battle, killing 2 other generals with him.. But my entire force perished... Luckily, my forces at Cair Andros just finished recruiting to the maximum, so I sent them to take West Osgiliath, successfuly. I dared not attack the eastern part, it was too strong, I sent half of them to take out Pelargir, again, successfuly.
I kept the two this time and recruited a massive army again.
News came from the Mark of Thengel's death, at the age of 73 (!!!!). Bad tidings indeed...
Soon enough, the Mark launched an immense assault on Isengard, taking Fangorn Forest, Dunland, Isengard and Byrgil in one strong swoop (Sadly, Isengard refused to die...), the armies of Isengard were afterwards hunted down and eliminated, one after another... Rohan was liberated once more.
Peace came to us, as Mordor and Harad stopped their attacks for inner squabbling with Rhun, relieving the northern front as well from Rhun's rage.
The Mark however did not stop making more and more armies, and just in time as well. A few years after the 3 main armies were ready for war, Mordor and Harad charged, taking Cair Andros, Pelargir and the whole of Osgiliath in one fell swoop, the Mark had no chance of defense, however the defense of Minas Tirith was strong, very strong. An army of the Mark stood there, side by side with Minas Tirith, which itself had a full army inside... The assault came soon enough, but this time, Men had no chance against the fury of Evil... None survived. Two dead Dunedain and one dead Rohan general brought madness to Theoden, the new king's eyes. He was furious and sent his entire forces to war. Cair Andros, Osgiliath, Pelargir, Lossarnach, Anarch and Minas Tirith were retaken and gave back to Gondor. (Aside from both sides of Osgiliath and Pelargir, which re-recruited my armies), and from there an assault was sent out on Harad... Which failed. Terribly. Theoden and half of Rohan's family tree died... And that was the end of men...
(Yes, I lost, Gondor was defeated and I was attacked from all sides, the battle for Edoras and Helms Deep was glorious... But non-the-less... Lost...)

    OMG wall of text >_<

A screenshot does much more than words ever could. Suffice it to say, this is still early game, I've only captured 3 rebel states, and Dale and Dwarves are both my enemies. Oh, and I've conquered the province just south of Dale since I took this screen.

You're like my nemesis I'm playing Dale, the Dwarfs and Silvan Elves are my mates, and I'm in a big war vs Rhun in Dorthonion. I'm planning to push east and south.

I'm not rapidly expanding or anything - I've only conquered Dorthonion and North Rhovanion so far. I helped the Dwarfs take North Rhun itself, though, while it was rebel controlled (I assisted them in the assualt, did 90% of the damage, they got the city... heheh Good thing I'm not a powergamer so I like that kind of thing).
I'll post a screenie later today. I'm playing on VH/VH, my first total war experience at this setting, but I'm coping better than I was expecting. Until the dwarfs or elves backstab me, then it will get ugly

Haha, I skirt the line pretty close, I'll admit. Problem is I'm trying to fend off Dale and Dwarves while still expanding, so yeah... money troubles

I really disagree with that, I really enjoyed reading his 'wall of text' and there's no way pictures could have shown all of that.

Well I can't post screens, because I died and deleted the saved game. Those stuff were from my memory...
By the way, I could not help but notice you used Toggle_fow... Cheater.

Anyone who posts an empire screen without toggle_fow is failsauce and deserves the whip 3 1\2 times.

Also, I don't use toggle_fow in gameplay, as I find placing watchtowers to be a very productive way to spend my florins and look cool as they decorate my landscape (actually not sarcastic )

Fourthly, why the wub do you care?

Fifthly, I just wanted to say "fifthly" because I've never seen it in writing before. Take THAT sauce IN YO FACE.

    -MY- spam?
    How was I spamming? The way I see it, you're the one who's spamming, kiddo. I was showing my empire (Sadly I could not take screenies), trust me, if I could take screenshots I would. I fail to see how writing how I managed my empire is spam. And in my honest opinion, I think you should learn to read a few things before declaring mindless statements;
I have less posts than you (I have only 2), so I doubt that really counts as spam, as none of them actually WERE spam.
If you've 'had it with my spam', go elsewhere. I'm not asking you what to do.
Why do I care? I don't. I was kidding. (Forgot to add the smiley).
    Why do -YOU- care?
I soooo hope you get the banhammer. For mindlessly spreading lies about me spamming.

Well technically recounting your epic battles (and indeed they were pretty epic, though hard to believe without screenies *shrug*) doesn't count as showing the empire. You could have just posted what you had conquered at the moment. Still, true or not, I enjoyed reading it. Makes me want to play, but I keep crashing to desktop as soon as I start the game up. *sigh*

I've been playing a modified version with lower morale for certain overpowered units, so its been pretty tough building and keeping an empire as Isengard. Me and my evil allies took out Rohan around turn 50 after repeated invasions (I only called the first one, Mordor and Rhun called the other 2). It still took around 30 turns to take them out so Rohan put up a good fight being so outnumbered. After we finally took Edoras (just barely thanks to the army spawn, which I am enjoying) the rest of Rohan, which was still quite large and powerful up to the end got gobbled up by me, Rhun, and Mordor. From then on I have been scraping with Rhun and OotMM, who both over power me. I held out for awhile until I finally got a barracks and heavy armory built (about turn 60 I think). Now I have a half decent army and am finally gaining the upper hand against OotMM. Rhun has finally left me in peace but Mordor stopped attacking Gondor (my ally) and is building up armies by Edoras (and is now the most powerful faction by a long shot) and I just lost "Sauron's protection" because of Rhun and OotMM screwing with me. Furthermore, my northern border with Eriador and lands to the west are completely unprotected, save for a few snagas due to all the wars in the east. So I'm spread a bit thin and outnumbered (keeps the game difficult), should be some more fun coming my way and the treasury is running dry so it should remain difficult.

I love how Sauron gets all the different traits and things of regular generals; it adds a bit of humor to the game.
