Changing hardcoded data (ie the game's exe) is not allowed, actually.

So why do they call it Hardcoding?
Some of the geniuses i've seen on TWC it makes it difficult for me to believe that they aren't up for the challenge?

And why is it illegal? Not as if you are profiting off it or adding anything malicious into the program?

Hardcoded is anything that cannot be changed without changing the .exe. And changing the .exe is illegal because it's the core of the game and it is CA/SEGA property (who have allowed the community to mod the other files).

Well , if you don't share it , so just change some stuff for yourselves , they'll never know .. And even if they know , you probably won't get punished or stuff .. Only if you release it on the net

Since we are at it I will ask without opening another thread ... what's the limit of unit size in Empire?
