Whats with the death positions?

I don't mind it and all, actually it doesn't really matter, but sometimes when i'm viewing screen shots, or after a battle, seeing all the bodies lying in a basically same way, kind of detracts the scene for me.....just curious to why is that anyways....

Mind me, this probably has been answered before, but i'm too lazy to seach up, dead bodies, positions etc...kind of awkward searching it up....

Engine limitations or something along those lines?

Because ca couldn't be bothered putting more than two death postions in the entire game, besides the kill animations. ETWs deaths look much more realstic, but then they didnt bother wiht alot of things in that.

Haha I guess you can only really die on your back or stomach but I know what you're talking about, the gameplay kinda cancels it out but it does bother me to look at it

it sure bothers me, since the way they fall down backwards looks like a gay baby being force pushed by obi wan(google: Obi pwns baby)!
Same with frontwards. Heck, those two death animations always look gay.

People are never happy about anything..... Yes I know that in ETW the bodies are well diplayed but I will add that for alot more things ETW is far inferior to M2TW, just take the map for example

im starting to grow fonder of you... Too true... I like most things about M2TW better than ETW... the bodies doesnt bother me i rarely even look at dead bodies.... the gameplay of M2 is far better than ETW

I myself don't care about the falling of bodies, I usually only watch them when things are starting to pile up near a gate or something

Most of my battles are complete massacres where you can't tell which one is a spearmen and which a horse, but yeah, it would be nice to have a couple of alternate death animations.

M2TW uses the same engine as RTW, if I recall, and neither has ragdoll physics for their bodies like ETW.

I certainly did. Every arrow death animation is the same, in fact almost all deaths have the same animation. At least Rome had variation in that department. Of course, Med2 has some pretty sweet finishing moves and the animations are better in general.

I enjoy watching a spearman finishing off a downed opponent by stabbing the ground 3 feet away as much as the next man, however the piles of bodies look decent enough from a distance. You tend to just get large killing fields here and there where the main clashes were, it's only really noticeable when missile units pick off afew men from the same unit in succession.
