    Default What is preferences.cfg?

For some reason the green circles and the banners are turned off on all of the mods I have installed. Most posts on the forum say to go to preferences.cfg to correct the problem, but there is no cfg file in my prefences folder. The folder looks like this:

    advice

    keys

    player

I just want to turn the highlights for selected units back on. Can anyone help me please?

Every mod had its own .cfg file. Match the name of the mod with the .cfg file. The vanilla version is medieval2.preferences.cfg. the one for Regions and Provinces mod is RegionMod BM.cfg. The rest of them, you're on your own. Too many for one person to keep track of.

Are those folders in the main Medieval 2 directory in C: drive, because if so, I must be missing it because I can't find it.

Depends on the mod. The Medieval2 based mods are. Stainless Steel 6.1 is in its mods/stainless steel folder.

If you want to all of them, there is an easy way. In My Computer, go to C:\Program Files\Sega\Medieval II Total War, click search on the toolbar, in the file type *.cfg and click enter.
